I visited the Folsom City Zoo last month for the first time. I enjoyed reading about each animals history of how they were brought to the facility. The zoo is centrally located in a park that gives a family plenty of activities to chose from. I was very disappointed with the size of the tiger enclosure especially with two tigers... More

We have fun taking giant steps and saying "lions and tigers and bears, oh my!" (a line from The Wizard of Oz) when we visit and then we actually do visit these animals! Large well kept naturalized enclosures that allow the animals to behave normally, foraging, hiding in dens, etc. An emphasis on native plants; and both animal and human... More

This is a zoo sanctuary with a small toy train running next to it as well. Perfect for taking toddlers and little kids.

The Folsom City Zoo is one of the best we have in this area. Personally I find it much better then the Sacramento Zoo. The docents there know what they are talking about and very informative. This zoo is clean and the animals well cared for - everyone looks happy and enjoy what they do at the Folsom City Zoo.... More

Great time enjoying the outdoors and was cheap to enter. Say a lot of neat animals and staff was friendly. Great enjoyment on a Tuesday afternoon.

Rescue Sanctuary...and love Zoo Camp in summer for kids to learn about animals. Wonderful staff, mostly volunteers. So proud we have this gem in Folsom.

We took our 2 year old granddaughter to the Folsom Zoo. This is a good size zoo for small kids. Lots of animals you can see up close. Good location and very friendly place

I like this zoo. It's come along way in the past 20 years, but don't expect it to be like a big city zoo with lots of animals. This zoo is the right size for a town like Folsom. The kids will like the 'farm' animal zoo that is part of this zoo. During Xmas they offer evening Zoo LIghts,... More

A lot of basic animals for young kids and some exotic ones as well. It's actually an animal sanctuary. It's kept up very well. We had lots of fun taking our 18 month old grandkids!

Small zoo with lots of rescue animals. Easy place to take kids for an outing if you happen to be in town.
