This is not a large city zoo, but it is set in a beautiful park area - and the grounds and zoo seem very well kept. The trail through the zoo and the enclosures make viewing the animals very easy.

The Folsom Zoo really can't be compared to other zoos, like San Diego or Sacramento. The area of Folsom is not that big and because of that the zoo is also somewhat small. That being said, they do have some cool animals and if you are looking for something educational and fun to do with kids, or even adults, give... More

Go in understanding that this is a small zoo with mostly animals from local area and many of these animals have been injured and are being cared for. Had a collection of Mountain Lions, peacocks, cats, dogs, raccoons, skunks, tigers and more. Great education in the local wildlife as well as a few exotic animals Great place for kids and... More

For a small Zoo, this is a gem in Folsom with a long history. Very well taken care of and provides more of a sanctuary for the animals than a traditional zoo. Budget friendly, and perfect for people of all ages to enjoy. They seem to actually care about the needs and well-being of the animals. Overall nice environment, the... More

This is a great small zoo. The kids loved the variety of animals and Grandma loved that she could get around easily with her walker. The admission price for all 5 of us was only totaled $21. Don't miss a ride on the train out front!

This is a great Zoo to see the local flavor of animals from this area. Inexpensive, clean and easy to get around. Great place to check out when traveling through or with the kids.

this zoo has been around for 50+ years. it is a sanctuary more so than a zoo. Small in size but well taken care of and seems to be growing. The animals you can tell are loved and well fed. No odors other than the foxes which smell like skunks. Five wonderful black bears plus the black cat that lives... More

The zoo is small but it makes for a fun and intimate time with the kids. There are different types of animals here; not just the normal lion, tiger and bear. You would enjoy it... It takes about 2 hours to fully get through it.

A great place for people to learn about the animals that live in our area. Took 50 school children on field trip and they all enjoyed and learned a great deal about the animals that were there

This zoo is more of an animal rehabilitation center or home for maimed animal home than it is a zoo. There is therefore not a large variety of animals located here. It is however a great place to get up close with these injured animals and a great place to take small kids. Since it is not a large facility,... More
