Unless it's drought conditions, as we are experiencing now, Folsom Lake is a great place to play. Beals Point has a nice campground, a boat launch, picnic areas, restrooms, a large grassy play area and a beach. Not much water activity going on now, but a bike trail and some hiking trails pass through this area, so it's still fun... More

The lake itself was very low, ao tyeee wasnt any way I was getting in it. Lots of people were swimming, though. The full hookup campground area had very little shade and, of course, we went when it was 105 out. What the Folsom area has to offer for everyone is miles and miles of bike paths, water sports, such... More

This is a great boating and recreational lake, when the water levels are normal. The lake has great water sports and recreational options. There are on-road and off-road biking and hiking trails that start at this location. It has a large beach area as well as shaded and grassy areas but you'll need to arrive early if you want to... Has a sandy beach, big area. Needs more grass areas. Boat launch for Jet skis, canoes, small craft would be great. Great place to picnic with family..

Wow, ot was hot when we were there, there is some shade but don't count on it. We were in an RV and sites are ample. Bathrooms are updated and convenient, the showers were very clean, $.50 for 4 minutes and $.75 for 6 which was plenty for me, lots of hot water (though there weren't that many campers there.... This is a beautiful park/ recreation area. Plenty of picnic tables, restrooms, walking areas, parking. Lots of trees for shade in the summer. You will love it.

Even though the Folsom lake level is currently low and eliminates the swim area, Beale's point is still a good recreation spot. Great for campers in tents and RV's. Large grassy areas with tables and grills for picnics and play. Great area to cycle too. Lots of areas to hike and explore! Flush toilets are always a plus!
