Lake fun

Has a sandy beach, big area. Needs more grass areas. Boat launch for Jet skis, canoes, small craft would be great. Great place to picnic with family..

Wow, ot was hot when we were there, there is some shade but don't count on it. We were in an RV and sites are ample. Bathrooms are updated and convenient, the showers were very clean, $.50 for 4 minutes and $.75 for 6 which was plenty for me, lots of hot water (though there weren't that many campers there.... This is a beautiful park/ recreation area. Plenty of picnic tables, restrooms, walking areas, parking. Lots of trees for shade in the summer. You will love it.

Even though the Folsom lake level is currently low and eliminates the swim area, Beale's point is still a good recreation spot. Great for campers in tents and RV's. Large grassy areas with tables and grills for picnics and play. Great area to cycle too. Lots of areas to hike and explore! Flush toilets are always a plus!

Because of all the water issues, this lake dries up EARLY and it is all DIRT. You will hike a LONG WAY with your picnic lunch to get anywhere near water. And be careful - we drove in there to find it a reset, turned around and left - they will NOT refund your entrance fee despite how quickly you... More

We stopped in one evening fir one night. The cost was $59 for full hookups. That is more than double of most state park camping fees.

Beals Point has to be the busiest place around Folsom Lake. Boat docks, lots of parking. The designated swimming area and facilities are here. If this is your first time visiting Folsom Lake, this is a good place to start. If you want more privacy, wander around. There are lots of places around the lake to discover. People also stake... Camped with a group of 6 families over the summer. The campsites are nice and clean. The Folsom lake recreational area is fun with lots of activities.

I used to love Beals Point. Nice beach, great place to walk dogs on the exposed lake bed when water levels are low. However since the fee increases earlier this year, combined with the fact that these increases were supposed to cover the parks system's budget shortfalls to keep the facility open. That was before we learned the State Parks... More
