Purchased a groupon deal that included unlimited golf, cart, and practice balls. We were a twosome and had a tee time for 11:50. We arrived early, and we're able to get on early. They were mowing the lawn on the practice range so we were unable to warm up. The front was great! Not many groups in front of us.... More

We play on 7/18/2015 but the condition is not good. Specially in fairway, there are no grass. Some holes design is narrow fairway and easy to run into other hole.

It's been awhile since I played here. The course was in much better then last time and some of the areas that had been under construction were all fixed. The greens were in good shape. The pro shop and snack bar were adequate but definitely showing its age. I think it is over 50 years old. The course is hilly... More

This is a country club with the golf course. There is also a hotel attached. I have stayed here at the hotel and eaten at the restaurant a few times. I wouldn't rate it five stars, but I really can't think of one disappointment, so am I being fair? The food has always been great and the service very good.... More

This course is just over 50 years old. When it was first opened, greens generally were maintained with what would now be termed a Stimp of 7 or 8. With modern techniques greens can easily run at a Stimp of 12 or 13. That is often a bad idea. Such is the case at Pala Mesa. I putted extremely well,... More

Which isn't saying much, poor size coffee pot. Adequate and convenient to our destination. We didn't try the restaurant.

Found this course through San Diego Golf Guide. It was a 35 minute drive north of Carlsbad where we were staying. Would have been less if we didn't get caught by so many traffic lights. When driving up to the course, noticed some holes along the highway and they looked narrow. The fee wasn't too bad at $62 per player,... More

This is an interesting, challenging golf course that is typically well maintained and managed. I have never stayed there. There is a driving range and a well stocked pro shop. It is worth the 45 minute drive from my home. Since it is inland, it is hot in the summer months.

The 'Stay and Play' Package includes two rounds of Golf on a Championship Course. a very nice Room. A Bar and Restaraunt that exceeds expectations and a very pleasant staff. All for around a $100 per person. Hard to Beat. a Great Deal.
