Even older ladies can enjoy this one time - lots of old fixed up cars.

If you are in the area on a Friday, you must check out Cruisin Grand. It's an old car fest....they are parked, they drive them up and down the main drag and you can shop and eat and drink all in four blocks of Grand Avenue...held about 5 months of the year...late spring to mid Fall. It's an old guy... More

Grand Avenue is Escondido is very surprising. We stayed at the Tuscany Hills Retreat, which we love to stay at, and went to Grand Avenue is Escondido and were very pleasantly surprised. Nice shops and great restaurants. Quaint...

I never miss The farmers market on Tuesday. I pick up fresh fruits & vegetables that we might need and always pick up fish taco's and shrimp cocktails from the Lady at the stand next to Juniper. It is a Tuesday tradition at my house. They are fresh and delicious. My wife also appreciates the flowers I pick up there

How fun to wander Grand looking at all the pre 1973 cars and watching and listening to people talk about their experiences in their youth with a special car on Friday night during the summer. Several musical groups are playing, folks are sitting on benches watching the cars drive up and down the street. Some restaurants offer outdoor seating so... More

Grand Avenue is sort of a main street USA but with a nice variety of dining options ranging from informal pizza place to fine French dining. You can really find any type of food to eat for breakfast or dinner. There is even an dorable Tea Room on the Avenue. Also there are lot's of antique and gift shops there... More

Oldies music, sometimes hula hoop contests, sometimes people dancing, and of course all the classics, hot rod, low-riders, kit cars, etc. Lots of fun for the whole family & the stores stay open. Sometimes the food trucks come in, but there's plenty of regular places to eat.

Every Friday night during the Summer months, this main street is filled with Classic cars, trucks and hot rods. Side streets closed off for viewing many parked beauties. Lots of eateries and shops open. Fun to see old friends!

We were here on a Friday afternoon, and the "cruising" classic cars were already arriving. The street was shady and great for strolling and checking out the antique shops as well as the cars. The park benches were a nice addition. Great way to spend an hour or so.

Went to Grand Ave. twice during our stay in Escondido and most of the shops were closed. Once open, there wasn't much to see but a gift shop and a couple of antique stores. Lots of little cafes and restaurants but nothing to go back for.

Grand Avenue is the "main drag" of Escondido's downtown. The "Cruisin' Grand" event this year will last 27 weeks, each Friday night until October 2 from 5pm until 9 pm. It's a Classic Car Show that is free to the public. It takes place on Grand Avenue between Escondido Blvd. and Juniper Street. Enthusiasts come from all over San Diego... More
