Loved O'Reilly's Irish Pub (great music on Sunday night!) and A Delight of France (great pastries; took some home to my France-loving family, who concurred) in particular. Was very sorry to have to miss the tea room.

This street is loaded with incredible food and fun, Vincent's, Joe's Italian further down Grand, Fillipi's Pizza, the antique mall, Tuesday Farmer"s Market and Cruisin' Grand on Friday nights from April to October...seeing the old cars is a lot of fun....

Make sure and go on a Friday night for "Cruisin' Grand"-hundreds of classic cars, sidewalk cafes, always a new restaurant popping up. Open every Friday night during daylight savings time.

Lots of variety including antiques, tea shops, restaurants, delis, and salons. You can even stroll onto Maple Street Plaza to sit and read, play a card game or let your kids play in the water. The arrival of the Catholic University has brought new life to town center.

It is a nice stop in Escondido, with a lot of shops to browse and local restaurants. There is a Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.

We visited Escondido in January and walked Grand Street on 2 separate days. After having lunch at Bellamy's, we walked and shopped for several hours. Cute shops, huge variety. Not the mall-variety chains; everything from a pet shop specializing in birds to antiques to bakeries. We were there on Tuesday, when the farmers market is there in the afternoon, and... More

Grand Avenue is worth a stroll if you are in the area as it has a few nice restaurants and some antique stores. However most of the stores that were there are closed and it is not nearly as lively as it was in the past.

Grand Avenue is one of my favorite places. Lots of good restaurants, my number one choice Vincents been stopping by there for over 20 years. Great small shops of all types from antiques to candy and if you need a good haircut try Andy’s, you’ll think you stepped back a few decades. Grand is like the old time downtowns that... More
