Lots of places to eat or drink, and several salons. About four blocks long, with a few store vacancies. Not terribly disappointing, but I don't think it's worth a return visit.

Not a lot open when we stopped by. Parking was fairly easy. I don't know if this is a place that would keep the average traveler busy for more than an hour.

This is a quaint street with many possibilities. It is as close as San Diego county downtowns get to the 1940s but city officials and merchants should get together and make this a pedestrian only street- a plaza with street cafes, markets and entertainment. When will Escondido wake up to the possibilities to enjoy their history. I hope they do... More

On a Saturday morning, this was just an average downtown location that looked more tired than charming.

One of the few "old-time" downtown areas in San Diego County. Antique Shops, Pubs, Restaurants, various specialty shops. An excellent way to spend a few hours visiting the shops and having lunch at one of the restaurants or the tea room

One of the charms of Escondido is that it has a real downtown center. Grand Avenue is at the heart of downtown and has a number of very good restaurants and also some good shops.

Grand has it all. Great restaurants of all flavors at affordable prices. Sweets and treats. Antiques and browsing. We've lived here over 25 years and have never been prouder of our downtown. Come give it a stroll!
