It is the largest craft brewery in the southwestern United States and has been named "All-Time Top Brewery on Planet Earth" by BeerAdvocate magazine - TWICE! A recently announced $26.6M expansion plan (that includes a hotel among other lofty ventures) is underway, as are developments to become the first American craft brewery to open a brewhouse in Europe. The adjacent Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens plays host to countless wildly popular beer and dining events, and is the largest purchaser of local, organic produce in San Diego County, including a growing amount from their own Stone Farms! In addition to promoting ethical eating, the restaurant boasts a lush one-acre outdoor garden as well as a line-up of 32 rotating taps and 100+ bottled craft beer selections for guests to enjoy. « less

We enjoyed the little brewery tour and tastings, especially the hibiscus beer which was deliciously refreshing on this blistering hot day. The restaurant was lovely and the garden would have been fantastic except for the bloody heat! Maybe in October/November? We enjoyed the unique macaroni and cheese side, along with BLT on ciabatta. ( A little too much balsamic in... More

I am a fan of Stone beer and I decided to bring my family over for dinner here for the first time. We had a reservation for 6 people. The brewery restaurant is nice and they have a real beautiful beer garden that is worth the visit. Beer are good if you like the style of IPAs. If your are... More

This brewery has the rudest staff that takes you through the brewery tour and then administers the tasting. It would be okay if the beer was good, but my group only liked one out of four. We ate on the patio and the staff and service was great.

I stopped in while traveling to the area for business. It was a Sunday and got busy around supper time. The beer is excellent. I sat outside at the bar adjacent to the beer garden which is wicked nice. Lots of people, all ages. I had snacks but no entrees. Hummus and Baby back ribs, they were excellent!

Had a great time here last month with some friends. I didn't even know about Stone brewing until I moved to Southern California and I have been a fan ever since I first tried it. The experience at the brewery was top notch, the staff was excellent and very knowledgeable. There is certainly lots of beer to chose from, the... More

I have been a fan of Stone beers for a few years. I was very disappointed with my visit to the brewery in Escondido. Could not get over the attitude that permeated the place; we're the best - everything's on our terms. Hard to find; no signs, no customer service. I'll go somewhere else where I'm not just another number... More

My title says it all. The beer is great, but I was VERY impressed at how wonderful the food was. We were there with a group of 8 and everything we ordered was top notch. I have nver been to a brewery that spent that much attention on their menu and food quality. It was GREAT! The atmosphere is really... More

I have visited many Breweries in my travels but my visit to the Stone Brewery in Escondido Ca ( a part of San Diego county) was a pleasant surprise. You pull up to this huge building with a beautiful stone front. No name is visible just the address the CEO likes it this way. You walk in to a mini... More

I buy their Arrogant "Bastar!" Ale for the guests who visit me and the Europeans especially love it. Sooo, I bought their Chipotle Hot Sauce at Sprouts recently and am VERY disappointed. Its watery and has no flavor or heat other than a bit of chipotle. It was also more than double the price of TJ's, Arizona Gunslinger or other... More
