Great place for kids

Pretty small place but they have great events. I think parents shouldn't be charged, only kids. Parking can be annoying so you may want to park on the other side of the street

I bring my two grandkids here often and they can never get enough of it! There's always something new added and existing activities are constantly being improved. There's both an indoor and outdoor area with activities. Most of the time we never make it outside because there's so much to do inside! When school is in session, you might want... More

This place is not a large as other museums, but it's great for kids 6 and under. There are many different stations in here for little ones to enjoy. There's also an outdoor play area. Many places for parents to sit and participate at yr same time. Stroller friendly, and for $6 a person you can't beat it.

Never knew this was in our backyard, across from Grape Street park in Escondido. With an active toddler visiting Nana's house which is in need of child-proofing, we discovered this inexpensive adventure with air-conditioned indoor activities with kitchen/restaurant area, pirate ship playground, percussion drums, dress-up closets, smaller baby crawl gym, microscope station for the scientific brains, magnet tube wall with... We came here on a Tuesday while vacationing in SD, and came here because the downtown was closed on Tuesdays (we paid the pricey downtown parking fees before realizing this too!). We also wanted to do something that our LO would enjoy. Wouldn't really say it's so much a museum as a kids big play area, with some more science... More

The public library in Escondido was giving out a free summer visit to the Children's Discovery Museum across from Grape Day Park and we thought it might be a fun diversion for the kids. So, we went and they were having a special Turkey related expo and letting the kids try out magnets, small shopping carts, giant building blocks, bubbles... More

This is a really fun museum for young kids and toddlers. They have a lot of different learning toys and activities. Big bubble wands, dry up, small kitchens for play, a ship with a slide, outdoor area with building toys and a arts and crafts area. There are so many different types of activities that I can remember them all.... More

My nieces (8 and 4) love this spot. My sons (5 and 1) appreciated it at least as much. Neither gender nor age was a barrier to enjoying the Children's Discovery Museum. The kids enjoyed blowing enormous bubbles/sets of bubbles outdoors. They also built huge bricmbased play structures, to share with other kids at the museum. The story time was... More
