I thought the San Diego Zoo was great, but this park is truly wonderful! Everything here is done so that the animals are in their own environment. There is a tram that will take you around the Africa part of the park - this is a MUST see! They did this park right, as you don't feel so separated from... More

I thought the Safari Park would be very similar to the San Diego Zoo, but was surprised that it stands on its own. The park is a bit hilly, but not bad to navigate even in the warm month of July. We spent all day exploring and enjoying the animals. I highly recommend this as a destination when visiting Southern... More

We hadn't been here for over 25 years, back when it was called the Wild Animal Park. We brought our grandkids (almost 3 and almost 5) for the day. We had a fantastic time and saw so many great exhibits and habitats. We were fortunate to be at the gorilla area during feeding time. We saw male and female, young... More

If you like going to the zoo, you will love the Safari Park. All the animals are in there natural habitat and are not in a cage. Do be prepared to do a lot of walking but it is worth it.

It was an amazing experience for the grand kids the twin 15 year olds were just as excited as the 4 year old. They put down all the tech stuff to truly look, listen, feed animals and birds shows. Our age group was from 66 to 4 and the 66 year old was just as excited as the 4 year... More

What a fun day!! I went with my sister - we are both in our 20s and had such a good time. The tickets are confusing. To get into the park you pay about $48 (plus $12 for parking). You can then pay extra for different "safaris" We did the caravan safari which was $100 per person. This includes a... More

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park was fabulous! One of the best zoos/safari parks we have visited. There were hundreds of animals, all of which appeared to be in suitably sized habitats. The Safari "ride" was informative and lasted a decent amount of time, but could have been a little longer. The Skyfari ride took us from the top of... More

We loved our visit to the safari park. We did the tram ride first and worked back because it fills up. We saw so many animals, including babies! There are also many spots to cool off and relax. We fed the lorikeets, but beware, they will poop on you!

Visited this park two days after a visit to the San Diego Zoo. Thinking that our kids (6 and 4) might have been zoo-ed out after the first zoo, we were not quite sure how the visit was going to go. Never fear, it was a hit. Unlike at the San Diego Zoo, we rented a stroller here as it... More

Didn't actually go in. It was $12 to park. We arrived at 4 and it shuts at 5. My bad I thought they shut at 5 but you had until 8 to look around. It costs $48 each but that only gets you the shows and Africa safari. Everything else is a further $50 each. We left and will not... More
