My first trip to the Wild Animal Park was pretty fun. We saw a good amount of animals, but for the size of the park I honestly thought there was going to be alot more animals. Like I said, the park is huge! So be ready to do some serious walking up and down hill. The safari ride, is pretty... more

We visited the WAP in September, and I know it's normally not that hot in the San Diego area around that time, but of course we went during a heat wave;) The high temp at WAP was around 106 degrees on the day we went (and the day before). It was insanely hot, but we still enjoyed seeing all the... more

The SD WAP was great...out kids thought it was just like Africa in the movie Madagascar! After seeing the WAP every zoo will be a disappointment from now on. Even the animals in the WAP seemed happy to be there. I would highly recommend the WAP to anyone visiting Southern Califonia. Be warned, it can be expensive because after the... more

Lots of cool animals to see even if you have to do a lot of walking. The lion was my favorite. The place was clean and all the animals looked very healthy. more

We took two young kids (7&9) and although it wasn't too crowded you just can't get a close up experience without forking out a heap of money for extra rides. Sadly the feeding of the parrots was the highlight! Ive been to alot of zoos and this would not even rate. more

Always wanted to ride on a Segway and what better place than the WAP. Spouse and I were on the 10 AM tour and had a blast. As with all Segway tours, you receive training first and sign a waiver. Guide in front and guide behind. We were so lucky. We arrived on a Monday morning and were the only... more

The family loved the entire place! We only stayed for about 5 hrs, and there was still stuff that we didn't get to. The safari attraction was great. We saw alot of animals on both sides of the tram. My 2 yr old started to get antsy (wanted to get out of the tram), but that's understandable because the tram... more

When we visited the park several years ago it really seemed like a safari adventure. Now with all the concessions, etc., it's almost like going to a zoo. more

This is an unusual and beautiful park, definitely not your typical zoo. The animals are mostly in very large, habitat-like enclosures, so you have to do considerable walking, or take a tour of some kind to get out to see them - so be prepared for that. We had a group aged 4 to 65, and there was definitely something... more

We had a fantastic time during this visit, at first it felt slightly like a let down and I felt guilty for paying out for a photo caravan tour. But now, back in autumnal England it feels like one of our best experiences. I'm glad we opted for a photo tour as the animals we encountered were close at hand,... more
