Well worth the trip. Parking close to gate on side street is best. My friend who came had to sit it out on a lower level bench as the stairs, although very wide and stable, were too much for her bad hip. I did walk the gardens and truly enjoyed the views of the ocean. I will come back again... More

Don't be put off by the name: this place is a wonderful, peaceful, beautiful oasis. Always inviting, a great getaway, a place to stroll, sit, look, relax, enjoy, take in some sun, enjoy the surroundings. Forget about the mad-dash world for just a little bit.

Brought a friend to walk the mediation gardens - a wonderful place to see gardens, koi ponds (wow the koi are BIG), and the coastal view. Grounds are smaller than I remembered - but a great place to sit (lots of benches) and take in the blissful surroundings!

There are numerous places to sit and meditate, or just relax, and a lovely koi pond. Keep your chatter to a minimum and respect the quietude others are... More

This is a perfect place to walk around on a Sunday afternoon. Situated on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, it offers several levels or areas of beautiful nature, from ancient trees to well-manicured garden spots, including a shaded Koi pond. One can find a restful place to sit and meditate within this soothing environment, as visitors are respectful of... More

There is a very beautiful visitor centre where you can learn all about the yogi who came from India and founded the place.. You are also welcome to attend services and learn.. There are breathtaking meditation gardens, where you can find plenty of places to sit in gratitude... I found the most perfect place as the sun set, gazing out... More

So Swami's Beach is a world famous surf spot. It is gorgeous. During low tide there are tide pools to explore. And above the beach cliffs is the Self Realization Fellowship which has the most beautiful and serene walk through tropical gardens culminating in amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. It is s great place to meditate or take a... More
