If you can handle the stairs, this beach is worth going to! It has a decent surf break, the locals are super friendly and the sand is not crowded with people.

Wow, watch out for the tides, got caught against that rocky point at hight tide and my i phone took a digger. It is a nice clean mostly tranquil beach. Just watch out for the tide.

This place gets good when the swell is up. The crowd can be thick with everyone from local pros to inland kooks. IF the waves are good enough and you can find parking its a good place to enjoy a sesh.

One of my favorite places for breakfast/lunch while staying at my family's place in the north county. The Acai bowls are delicious, as are the chilaquiles. It's kind of divey, hole in the wall spot, but charming in a old school California way. The food is always fresh and delicious. My son always has to stop over at Hansen's Surf... More

Swami's has a great point break that holds most waves. Whether you surf or not, this is a great beach to hang out or play in the waves. The beach is pretty mellow, but the waves can have a "locals only" vibe, so be aware.

As far as I am concerned, Swami's is by far the most beautiful beach on this whole stretch of coast, especially so when you are in the water looking back at the land. There is a long and somewhat arduous flight of stairs leading to the beach (and up from the beach). This may put off some visitors who are... More

Parking is tough but the beach is good and close to the water.I hate when you have to walk rally far to get to the water. The water is very nice.

Big beach. Lots of parking off the road, some parking on the roadside as well, if you are able to parallel park. Be sure to bring sunscreen and any of your own shade that you desire, as this is a 'full sun' beach. There is LOTS of room here, tons of beach for walking, wading, swimming and sunbathing. There is... More

We visited this beach in March and the water is freezing by Florida standards. Be prepared to go down about 100 steps to reach the beach however once there it's more locals than tourists and great place to do beach yoga or rucking which we did as part of the Sealfit Academy experience and highly recommennd it. The sand is... More
