Great views are seen here from parking lot and path that leads to ocean/beach. I like to park (if you can find a spot, its popular with surfers.) eat take-out lunch and then take a walk down 101. Just discovered in campground is a little taco stand with tables that offer killer views...my next trip, I will be trying that... More

My favourite pastime is beach walking and collecting seaglass. I was pleasantly surprised to find a few pieces of glass at Swami's Beach at the lowest tide amongst the rocks at the point. At low tide you can walk from Swami's beach to Moonlight beach - it will probably take you around 1/2 hour. There are over 120 steps down... More

If the tide is too high to run on the sand, try climbing the stairs at Swami beach several times. Ow! But I had to do it, my pregnant daughter was! If not so energetic, what a great place to just sit on a bench and watch al the bobbing surfers waiting for a wave!

Not a huge beach and parking can be an issue but it has some good surf at times. Not bad for swimming either. It has a flushed bathroom up top and several flights of steps down to the sand.

Ooops, should I have not let out the secret in my title there? This is a surfer kind of beach and you never find very many kids there. But it is great for kids. I've never found rough currents, but there are decent sized waves. There are showers by the beach, and at the top of the many flights of... More

Want to see how "real" beach bums live? Head over to Swamis. Less crowded than some of the other beaches but same great waves and cliffs. Long staircase and a few interesting characters but felt safe there with the kids.

From the parking lot - a great view to pick your pleasure - surf, swim, snorkel or chill. Nice reef break and the line up can get crowded. Some good body surfing at the base of the stairs to the left at Dabbers as well.

A peaceful place to spend the day and to watch the surfers. Amazing views take some pictures before going down the stairs! Parking lot is small, but you will not have problems to find a spot if you arrive early in the morning. When we left the beach, around lunch time, there were a lot of cars parked on the... More

Parking is limited at this site because it is filled with the vehicles of surfers wanting to catch to often great waves! A beautiful cliff top view is provided here and you can see all the way to Pt. Loma on most days!
