We live here in Leucadia and will walk here to see our guys surf! This is a primo spot for our regular surfers as well as surfers from around the world! On year we were here at 3 am because the waves were to be huge due to some weather disturbance at the time. We met a surfer from Australia... More

There were not many people which was nice. The sand is average, the view is average, the beach is average.

YOu can walk the actuall beach, which is below the cliffs, or walk along a sidewalk above, which runs along hwy 1 with quite a bit of traffice. Views are great. If you opt to walk on the beach, you would have to descend several stories of wooden steps at Swami's to reach the beach.

A lovely beach with access down a steep set of stars to enjoy surfers and a long leisurely stroll along the beach and comb for shells or meander with your thoughts as birds fly overhead. The small park is exciting on Sunday with Acro Yogis and drummers. Parking is a challenge ,

Iconic Beach for Surfers in North County SD ... All local surfers know this is one of the best waves in Encinitas and competes or beats Cardiff Reef (the home-break of Rob Machado) ... but on top of that the views are very nice and the tide pools are cool if you are not into surfing! A must see in... More

This is a chill, hippie friendly type beach with a lot of surfers from before dawn until dusk. There are well maintained bathrooms and limited parking but a lot of parking around the area. I go to this beach every day- small, but you can walk for miles to the other beaches.

From the parking lot up top you walk down a long set of wooden stairs and descend upon one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California. Swami's is a haven for surfers, so there is always something to watch out in the water. The beach itself is wide and flat, perfect for building sandcastles, or a long walk. There... More

The parking lots fill up quickly on a good surf day; But an underpass allows you to park at Vulcan. From above the bluff there are benches commerorating former local surfers. There are also bathrooms and a staircase taking you to the beach below. At low side you will find sea creatures in the tidal pools! The is a picnic... More

There are many stairs down to the beach. For those who just want to watch there are many picnic tables up top which allow a great view down to the water. Surfers and dolphins to watch!
