Pretty Cool Dive-in Bar!

The place is dark and seems to be very old. It isn't. The tiki-bar vibe is deliberate and the default clientele more interested in drinking than chatting. Very much a locals bar, it may take a few visits to feel welcome.

That single star up there is for the decor. The decor is awesome. The location is super cool in downtown El Segundo and the tiki-themed decor is SUPER awesome. The problem is that this is NOT A TIKI BAR. it's a bar that has a tiki theme...And a terrible bar at that. When we visited, the girl behind the bar... More

Interesting place. Sometimes busy sometimes not. Crowd is youthful but not a college bar. Pool tables available, good service. Not on everyone's radar so don't expect too see the full hipster scene here (thank goodness). A 4-star on a good night.

Excellent tiki-style drinks in a club not far from the beaten path in El Segundo. Mai Tais are tasty as are Key Lime Pie martinis, and the atmosphere is a little funky, with a pool table and blowfish lighting. For food try one of the nearby venues--this establishment is for drinking.

We stopped there last night before heading out to LAX and enjoyed a few drinks while watching the NBA Finals. The bartender was very friendly and was generous with her pours. The place is a little on the darker side but I guess that's what makes it pretty cool at the same time. Great variety of drinks, great service and... More

I was looking forward to having a cocktail or three at this dive bar, as i had done my research on the best tiki bars. Boy, was it all I imagined. I slept in all the next day and flew out that night. Was it worth it? Hell yeah ! Got to meet ,sing and dance with the locals on... More

It's well lit, with clean, friendly, fast moving bartenders, so that kind of eliminates calling it a dive. There is a pool table and the patrons looked employed and for the most part they didn't look like they were recently paroled. I didn't even see any tattoos and doesn't everybody in the suburbs have a tattoo by now? Maybe this... More

Maybe we got a bad bartender but when we stopped here on Sunday afternoon expecting some killer tropical cocktails after reading the reviews, we were sadly disappointed. We are only giving them 2 stars because of the decor, which is well done and the vibe was laid back. Its a great dive bar but not great drinks. If you are... More

They serve drinks that light on fire in huge punch bowls, what else could you want? This bar is in the heart of downtown and while it's a bit run down and definitely a dive bar, it is fun for a laugh and a yummy drink.
