We chose this spot for a picnic, then discovered that the lower park had picnic tables, while this one didn't. A seagull was watching for crumbs, and a few dogs came by hoping or some, too. The most unexpected animal was a squirrel, who seemed very tame and was hungrily devouring juicy leaves. As we watched, we also saw whale... More

The best view in all of Del Mar is right here from this little parks. Both Seagrove Park and it's breathtaking view of the Pacific are 100% free.

Calm and relaxing place with a nice view over the beach. Get your coffee and sit down during the morning is a great start.

You can watch the seagulls fly around or watch the ocean surf. There are not any food carts around but you can walk up 15th to the main street and get something to drink. Not many benches around with shade but there are a few. There is a grass area for playing frisbee or picnicking or whatever.

And a great place to come witness a sunset or have a picnic. A must see when in Del Mar. Simply said.

This park has a great mix of children's play area, grass for propane BBQ's and sandy beach with ocean breeze and waves. We enjoyed it all! Brought our dinner for an evening picnic and stayed to play in the sand. Great dining options abound nearby: Jakes, Poseidon, Sbicca to name a few. Take it from a local, you won't regret... More

This park overlooks the ocean and provides great views. I like to go there and take pictures. It is also a good place for a picnic. There are many weddings there during the summer.

This park has it all.--- a nice beach, a grassy area, and trains to see. There are lifeguards on the beach and they have it flagged to show where the surfers should go and where the swimmers should be. The only negative is the parking situation in Del Mar. Go early in the morning if you want to find a... More

I was lucky enough to be able to stay at the Wave Crest condos that were right next to Seagrove Park. It was so nice to walk through the paths and see all of the people picnicing, relaxing, and enjoying the beautiful view. The soft grass was a welcome relief from all of the sand, and it was plain to... More

This is a small, but lovely park with a small playground, lots of benches and picnic tables that overlook the beach and ocean. Just a short walk from the shopping and restaurant area.
