This is a small, but lovely park with a small playground, lots of benches and picnic tables that overlook the beach and ocean. Just a short walk from the shopping and restaurant area.

Only in California could you find such an inviting park environment, full of greenery, sunshine, the smell of the ocean, a wide expanse of green grass and all this in mid December. Great views of the Pacific below and a train that passes by below practically at your feet.

The trees, the site above the beach in Old Del Mar, the trains, the benches and picnic tables, the grassy sloping lawn are all so good! Sometimes congested with wedding parties but that's kind of fun to watch also. You may have to park blocks away or pay at the fee lot, but this area is made for walking at... More

Once you get used to the periodic commuter, Amtrack & freight trains that go by the park, it is very quiet with much grass and benches. You can eat a sandwich, take a nap, read, watch people, stare at the beach; the ocean, the horizon, the sunset, walk your dog (they supply plenty of dog bags or paper invoices if... More

I love walking around in Del Mar and stopping in at the Seagrove Park. You're up above the white sand and gently rolling waves - it's awe-inspiring. I just love the tranquility of sitting on a bench and looking out at the ocean here. I only wish it was a larger park but the views definitely make up for it!

An excellent place to enjoy sand, surf, and picnic like grounds with real grass. The only downside is the $ 15.00 charge for two hour parking. Still it is a beautiful spot.

Your senses will find this peaceful, green park relaxing. Sit on a bench. Stroll. Walk to shops and eateries. Take a camera for the fabulous views.

Seagrove Park is a stretch of grass adjacent to the beach so all the fun of the seaside but no sand. Great for people watching and picnics. If you are tempted you can venture down the sea on. Well kept beach. Parking was a bit expensive on the sea front so it might be helpful to park a bit further... More

Just a wonderful place to sit in a chair or on a blanket and watch people or the ocean. In summer they have community concerts from 6-9 P.M. on Tues. or Wed. (you can check locally). This park was a very charming small park with a nice restaurant adjacent and plenty of space for kids and dogs to run.

I loved this park so much on our last family vacation to the San Diego area. I was looking for a kid-friendly beach and this park has it all----a play area, grassy area for picnics and more, and the beach! I hate being at a beach and feeling stuck, which is how I feel at Coronado beach. This park will... More
