Went to the Del Mar race track yesterday with a group of friends and had a blast. We are from AZ and had never been there before. What a fun time; weather was beautiful and winning was easy and exciting for beginners luck. Great way to spend a sunny California Sunday afternoon.

If you like horse racing, or just beautiful scenery and horses, Del Mar is a must see destination. I've been here many times and I never get tired of the place.

I am not a fan of horse racing or the crowd it brings to the town of Del Mar. I could do without the whole thing and would trashier see a Mission Bay type park where the track is, though I know that will never happen. If you like the ponies, go for it.

We love going to the horses, fun filled afternoon. You can get up close to the jockeys and horses. The paddock area is the great. Del Mar is very classy.

If you enjoy horse racing this is a great place to visit. Built in the 1930's by a Hollywood crowd--Bing Crosby, Pat Obrien, Jimmy Durante - it is worn, but still accomodating. After all the sport is strugglimg financially. The patrons aren't, however. Every day is a fashion show, and you might even spot a celebrity from the entertainment or... More

All venues are fast food. They have a few specialty restaurant fast food areas however found on the pricey side, however it is an upgrade to the typical fast food .

It's been years since I have been to the Del Mar Race Track and I had so much fun. I don't know why I waited so long to go back. It was so much fun watching all the horses and the large board was so easy to see which horse was in front and 2nd, etc. The food and drink... More

This is a fun way to spend an afternoon. Not too expensive to get in for general admission and watch the horses. Come when they open if you want to get a seat to sit down. General admission is standing only
