Nice walk on the beach and small pleasant town but unfortunately with big prices. Quieter than the other beach cities with less development behind.

If you happen to bring your dog with you, this is a spot to stop. You may notice that the majority of the beaches in San Diego have restrictions whether its NO DOGS at all or only on leash during a specific time during the year. Bummer, when you live out here. A portion of Del Mar beach allows your... More

Beautiful beach with a green park next to it. Great to BBQ and go surfing. This beach has also a dog section. Its really great sport in San Diego.

Check for high tide and go 1hr before and stay for 1h after...amazing waves. Saw the silhouette of a seal inside a breaking wave as it was diving for fish! Also, think I saw a stingray...

I may be overly critical, it was a nice beach but this year I have spent time in Bali and Hawaii so not much compares. I will say there were a number of people on the beach all having a great time. The sand is oddly grey and the kids playing in it were quite dirty, I guess a decade... More

This beach is clean and has a dog park. I jogged three miles and was able to change clothes in their clean public facilities. Families and lots of people walking dogs enjoyed this beach today.

We love this beach. Very clean, convenient and safe beach for the family. Bathrooms are nice and right off the beach.

It was gloomy but there is barley any parking here. I'd rather go to Mission beach. But it was nice just not enough room for lot's of people.

Great restaurants, friendly people, super beaches, lots of surfers and a special treat for first time visitors. Arrive early in the day to find a place to part near beach areas. If your time permits, stick around for viewing some spectacular Sunsets.

Beautiful views and a really quaint little town to hang out for a few hours. Take a walk along the north end of the beach where all the dogs are hanging out with there owners and make sure while on the north end of beach to hike the little hill that actually looks over at Del Mar horse racing track....
