City obviously uses parking as a major revenue source $30 for about 4 hours I believe is what we paid. Beach itself is very nice and no charge.

This beach is well cared for and has the amenities needed to enjoy your time on the ocean front. The playground area is clean and up to date. The green spaces are welcoming with lots of room for picnics, play, or relaxing.

Beach was not very busy. Found adequate space to lounge and frolic. The beach was very clean many benches above the beach to sit and watch people.

My husband and I have been coming to Del Mar for 14 years and we love, love, love walking the beach here in Del Mar. We park near 29th street and make our way through a short street/alley way to the steps leading to the beach. We walk south for about an hour - the sign says "Del Mar -... More

A great way to spend a Sunday evening. We enjoyed spectacular views of the shore from above the beach on the hill. Can't wait to come back and boogie board. There are two restaurants on the beach front that I want to try.

What a nice beach! Clean and safe! Beautiful views at sunset. Great spot for all ages! We were surprised that it wasn't crowded like other beaches. We wished we had more days to enjoy here. Hopefully, we will visit again soon!

It is scenic and long. Southern California beaches are open to all, unlike the beaches on the East coast.

Spent a great day along the beach. Was clean and nice. Life Guard towers were staffed. Surf was nice for both surfing and body boarding. Tide wasn't too strong so kids could play without much worry. Dinning is close to the beach.
