Whale worth the drive down the Pacific Coast Highway! The staff were very knowledgable and friendly. And "Yes," we did see a whale (three sightings in all) along with a stampede of Common Dolphins. The highlight of the trip was venturing down into one of the specially made glass pods located beneath the waterline to observe the dolphins up close... More

Amazing crew that care about their guests and most importantly the marine life they showcase. We saw three blue whales, a humpback, hundreds of dolphins and seals. A beautiful day that we will cherish forever.

Last month I took a tour with Capt. Dave's Dolphin & Whale Watching Safari and thoroughly enjoyed myself. When I had an opportunity to travel back to Dana Point this weekend I took full advantage of my 1 day there. I took back to back to back (3 trips) with the company. Each was different than the other and Blue... More

As a diver, I have always wanted to see a Blue Whale and thanks to Capt Dave's I can cross that off my bucket list. When we arrived, a sign was displayed congratulating us on our anniversary(a very nice surprise) I'd forgot that at the time of booking it asked why we were visiting Dana Point. We were just rounding... More

Loved this trip! It was so worth it! We saw hundreds of dolphins and a blue whale as well. The captain and crew were unbelievably knowledgable and followed the path of the blue whale, garnering us a closer look each time it surfaced. Truely one of the best experiences of my life. My kids were a bit apprehensive but they... More

We had a very pleasant experience with the entire trip right from the phone booking right thru the actual Trip. The Crews were very experienced and knew exactly where to look for the Dolphin and Whale. During our trip out, we were greeted by a school of Dolphins that swam right by and in front of the Catamaran. We then... More

This was our second trip and it was Fabulous. Captain Dave's had a sign welcoming us back on the bulletin board. This time we saw whales, sea lions and some dolphins. It is the luck of the draw. (First time we missed the whales but saw huge dolphin pods.) The crowds shrieked each time the dolphins leaped and I must... More

Our family of 4 enjoyed every minute of this trip in July. We touched the dolphins by reaching from the net. we saw humpback whales (mother and baby been there a week already), blue whales, thousands of dolphins. we've been to new Zealand, Australia, Bali for the whales and dolphins, but capt dave's experience topped all. the price is cheap... I saw Captain Dave's Whale & Dolphin Safari advertised when planning a day trip from LA to Laguna Beach, while visiting CA for the summer from London. The trip was ranked #1 on Trip Advisor and had some fantastic reviews. It did not disappoint! The 11am trip was perfect timing for a nice morning drive down the coast (taking about... More
