Course was in great shape. Clubhouse staff were very friendly as we're the cart girls. After playing it several times with members helped learning were to hit it.4 holes of path only did slow it up, but course isn't easy. Enjoyed playing several local members who were very friendly and helpful. Cost to play seemed fair. Took @4 1/2 hrs... More

Great track....lots of fun and very challenging! This course is not for sissies....in the range of 150 traps. Unfortunately there were 4 holes which were cart path only so that led to a five hour round. Several holes require course knowledge to properly play...the second round would probably be more rewarding!

This is a fun course in good condition. Service is excellent. The course is more of a resort course, so not overly difficult. But it isn't just a grip and rip it without thinking course either. The few holes along the ocean are beautiful, but the inland holes are also good holes with their own beauty. Glad I played it... More

I enjoyed this course because the staff were friendly, helpful, the course was in excellent condition. October is not the time to golf in California - the courses are being conditioned for winter and it is cart path only. Wide friendly fairways.

The golf shop staff was very friendly & professional - always a good start. We got a bit of a discount so the course was good for what we paid. 4 1/2 hr pace. A few difficult holes & overall above average. Course was in pretty good shape. There were only a few scenic holes but not bad. It's not... More

Here are some tips to help you if you are going to play Monarch Beach Golf Links 1) No driving range per se but they do have 4 cages you can hit in to 2) large practice putting green but not enough space on sides to really chip from 3) Views - there are a couple holes that are right... More

Thank you for your list of helpful tips and perspective on our golf course. Unfortunately, you played the course during over-seed preparation, which includes heavy mowing (scalping) which begins mid-September. The course then closes for 3 days at the end of Sept for over-seeding. We try very hard to communicate these unique condition to every guest. We hope that you... More

I found the staff to be indifferent, no driving range and below par fairways. When you have the Ocean/Beach you can sell it at any price and that's what's going on here. Golf is, "oh by the way".
