Fun way to spend the day is to take the ferry to Catalina in the morning, enjoy lunch and the town for the afternoon, and then take the leisure trip back to Dana Point late in the day. During the cruise expect to see whales, dolphins, and other sea life. While there is plenty of indoor seating that is comfortable... More

Great and fast ride to Catalina and very well priced. Was afraid of getting seasick but it was a nice smooth ride.

Nice trip out to Catalina Island, smooth ride and saw pods of dolphins. Once there rented a golf cart and explored the island. Nice day trip.

This is the way 90% of the people that visit Catalina get there. For some reason I had the opinion that they were not cooperative or flexible in dealing with changes in schedules. I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG, I was on Catalina for just a Saturday night and had planned on leaving early Sunday, but Iran into some... More

We enjoyed our trip via this boat to Catalina Island. Staff were friendly and if you are hungry or thirsty they have a full service bar with snacks on boat. Boat arrived at both piers on time. Would highly recommend this trip

Great ride. Left on time and a little over an hour. It was a little rough on the way to Avalon but smooth on the way back. Spectacular views of the sunset. We took the 6:45 morning ride and 7:45 that night back to Dana Point.

Ferry rides are free on your birthday which makes for a great excuse to go to Catalina for the day! You also get discounts at many stores on Catalina. The Ferry itself is quick, clean and well run!

We've been taking the Catalina Express back and forth for years from Long Beach and occasionally from Dana Point. The trips are always fun bookends to our time on Catalina Island. This past weekend, my husband and I took turns going to Dana Point to pick up our grandson so he could come over for the weekend. I took him... More

The ferry was very efficient. Right on time, quick to load and unload your luggage. Snacks and drinks available on board with a large bathroom. The staff was very nice. Good trip back and forth to the island.

This is a great way to go to Catalina, since , if you don't have a boat, or a private plane, there probably IS no better way to get there. Just sit, relax, enjoy a snack, or coffee, and you are there in a short time.
