I love this place. Its a small harbor. You often see California sea lions swimming about right in front of you. There are many restaurants to chose from. A wonderful walking path , little stores, fishing trips, whale watching trips, SUP, kayaking. Dana Point has it all.

The Dana Point Harbor has everything that you and and your family need for a great day. It is just fun to walk and look in the stores, but there is so much to do, even if you just want to pretend you are at a great boat show and look at the boots parked everywhere.

Lovely walk around. Tall ships are gorgeous. Blue sky and the bluff that the hides were thrown from for trade ....another era. We walked it in the aftermath of a wind storm buffering and loved the white caps and crashing waves..

Dana Point is a beautiful ocean city. The harbor is very clean, developed, and safe. There are many locals and tourist visiting the harbor area. Beautiful walking areas and plenty of free parking. I even spotted an aerobic class in a building as we were exploring the harbor. The roads are beautifully landscaped and spotless. There is an Ocean Institute... More

If you've seen 100 yachts - well see a few hundred more! Fun to read the names that the owners bestow on their vessels..

Beautiful small town feel with nice harbor and a few restaurants and shops nearby. Great place to stop for a leg stretch along the coast between San Diego and LA.

One of the most fun things to do is kayak in the Point, or take a stroll down the walkway. Take advantage of the whale watching tours that can be taken in the area also. One of my faves!

First, the exception - Waterman's, a relative new restaurant at the harbor is actually pretty good, with tasty food, drinks and good service. The rest of the restaurants are fairly mediocre and the shopping is terrible touristy junk. But, the harbor is a great place to go if you want to stroll along and imagine which yacht you'll buy after... More

Dana Point Harbor is a delight, offering good restaurants with beautiful views, great walking paths, picnic tables and barbecues, affordable lodging, paddle boarding & kayaking, fishing and boating tours, as well as trips to Catalina! Shopping is limited because of renovations but a few shops worth visiting still remain. In addition, there are so many events to enjoy: Tall Ships... More

The restaurants at the Harbor have a variety of food, everything from great Italian, Traditional American and Sushi. The only thing we could not find was a bar with a TV to watch the football game. not a bar/game watching friendly place, but food yes, very good food
