Was surprised at the grey gravel nature of much of this beach. Lots of picnic areas but some had to be reserved in advance. Very busy on weekends and holidays. Rentals available for bikes, boards etc in convenient location? Did have special wheelchair ramps/access which made getting wheelchairs on beach possible- just pity about sand

The easy access to beach from our hotel was awesome. Nice walk. Lots to do close by. The harbor had plenty of shops and restaurants. The entire area was well cared for.

GO NORTH! Laguna Beach has more beautiful beaches. Parking is your only problem. It is crowded in the summer.

Nice beach but it was overcast. Had called the State of CA beach accessibility department to find a beach I could manage. the staff at the entrance gate seemed almost clueless about handicapped services. Cost is high…$14 senior rate per car…for 1 1/2 hrs at the beach. Restrooms are very far away from handicapped parking.

This beach has a lot of parking right close to the Sand and it is beautiful! The water here seems much "bluer" than Newport, and having the restaurants and boating excursions right next door make it an PERFECT beach for a week or day visit. Its not the Biggest Beach in OC , but it is one of the VERY... More

Beautiful sandy beach. Volleyball courts, lots of tables, fire pits, open space to play any type of game you would like. Lots of parking. $2 per hour parking fee.

Neat, clean & lots of wide sand beach to be enjoyed! There were obviously a lot of people taking surfing and paddle board lessons which was very fun to watch!
