Chartered a half day boat for our family, all 15 of us caught fish, my husband landed a enourmous black bass (which we had to throw back but it sure was fun catching it!). Our crew, Chad and Zack were totally hands on helping everybody do EVERYTHING! Such an awesome experience for the grandkids, would definitely do this again! more

We went on a whale watching trip in April 2008 and knew it was 'between seasons' and therefore weren't that surprised when we didn't see anything (apart from Harbour seals glued to a bouy). We were given a ticket for a free trip any other day forever we like. We booked for 2 days later, again zilch, and another ticket.... more

I went out last week on a 3/4 day trip out of Dana Wharf Sportfishing. I know that fishing is always slow in the winter. The water is cold and the metabolism of fish slows down. They will not eat/bite aggressively at all. That doesn't mean that fish are not out there. It just means that you have to work... more

Left late, and came back early. Way too many people on such a small boat. We left a half hour late and came back a half hour early, plus It took an hour to get to our spot and an hour to stop driving around. Not to mention we had to stop for 10 minutes to give another boat bait!... more

Our experience on the Sum Fun was overall above average. This was my 11 yr. old son's (Jesse) first ever deep sea fishing trip and he really liked being the first to land a large sand bass with the possibility to win the jackpot until someone else landed a 26in. halibut. The cook was very likable and interactive with everyone... more

We had a ten o'clock appointment on the Dana Pride for a two hour Whale Watch. This was the first time I had ever been on an adventure like this. We had a sunny calm day. While on our way out of the Bay we saw some Sea Lions laying on a light platform. The Captain took us out a... more

Dana Wharf is notorious for leaving a little late and coming back a little early. I've been on several twilight fishing trips and was dissapointed by the lack of service from the deck hands and captains. Contrast that with my 1st twilight trip out of Newprt Landing on the Nautilus. The crew was fantastic, helped land fish, tie on rigs,... more
