Smack in the middle of this small town (reminiscent of Mayberry) is Spreckles Park...green and lovely trees, old fashioned gazebo -- think band concerts in the summer--children's playground, picnic areas. This square city block is a wonderful place to sit, relax and refresh yourself. A public restroom is available and the library is just across the street. No dogs, even... More

Spreckels park is a full block square, w/ an old style gazebo in its center. Weekly art shows are on the Wly & Sly street frontage, where resident or visitor can acquire a variety of pictures oils, charcoal, water colors, photographs, being sold by local artists. Concerts in the park, where the entertainment is in the gazebo are held weekly... More

On the first and third Sundays of the month local artists display there creations and art work. We stopped early on Sunday morning to find about 5- 10 artists set up. One very interesting individual was Don Hubbard. He settled on Coronado after WWII and has been working in the Japanese art of fish printing, Gyotaku, for over thirty years.... More

This is a nice attraction loated in Balboa Park. Yesterday they were having the unveiling of their pipe organ. It was not scheduled until 7:30 p.m so we missed it. We did however walk around and we did hear, what I believe was the musician, warming up. What a rich sound that organ has

During the summer months, Spreckels Park is the venue for wonderful Sunday evening concerts. The gazebo in the middle of the park has hosted the Navy West Band, Marine Jazz Band, and many other wonderful bands. Locals and wanna be residents tote their picnic baskets, chairs and blankets for a fun filled evening of entertainment.

A peaceful, pretty oasis in the middle of Coronado. Enjoy sitting on the park benches and watching the park's palms and other trees sway in the breeze.

We have been to concerts, art shows and other events here. It's a nice park. When there's nothing going on in the park we sometimes just go there to eat or sit and relax. It's safe and clean.

This park is on the main street, Orange Ave, in the middle of the town. It is across from the Library and has a small town feel. The playground is great for young kids. There is a gazebo where bands play on Sunday evenings all summer long. Some Sundays there are art sales where local artists sell their wares. You... More

Every Sunday they have a small band play. It begins at 6 but I recommend arriving around 4:30. Bring blankets, chair, tables and dinner! People also get up and dance in front of the band, it's a great time. It's a fun way to spend Sunday with family or friends.
