Definitely do a summer Sunday concert in the park, well worth the visit, but get there early to get a good spot on the grass and bring blankets/chairs/food. Also has a play area for kids at one of the corners and does have a permanent bathroom too and places to lock up your bike.

This is an annual event in Coronado. The town band plays for around 2 hrs and everyone gathers so very festive. Picnics are the usual faire but there are also groups selling pizzas and hot dogs.

Summers are perfect with Spreckels Park Concert in the Park on Sundays at 6-7:30 PM. This is a wonderful family event, with kids dancing with parents or their friends. Every age enjoys this event and the bands I've seen have been excellent!

This is a great place to take family and friends. Lots of things for children to do, large grass spaces, picnic tables, clear toilet area. Surrounded by nice homes with adequate parking. If visiting Coronado Island with children, a good place to burn off some energy.

A huge park with so much to offer! Go during the week if you can, as it's less busy then. Either way, a lovely place to visit. Try to catch a show where they are playing the organ-- a unique experience!

Smack in the middle of this small town (reminiscent of Mayberry) is Spreckles Park...green and lovely trees, old fashioned gazebo -- think band concerts in the summer--children's playground, picnic areas. This square city block is a wonderful place to sit, relax and refresh yourself. A public restroom is available and the library is just across the street. No dogs, even... More

Weekly art shows are on the Wly & Sly street frontage, where resident or visitor can acquire a variety of pictures oils, charcoal, water colors, photographs, being sold by local artists. Concerts in the park, where the entertainment is in the gazebo are held weekly... More

On the first and third Sundays of the month local artists display there creations and art work. We stopped early on Sunday morning to find about 5- 10 artists set up. One very interesting individual was Don Hubbard. He settled on Coronado after WWII and has been working in the Japanese art of fish printing, Gyotaku, for over thirty years.... More

This is a nice attraction loated in Balboa Park. Yesterday they were having the unveiling of their pipe organ. It was not scheduled until 7:30 p.m so we missed it. We did however walk around and we did hear, what I believe was the musician, warming up. What a rich sound that organ has
