Friday January 4th we had an excellent 2-hour tour of the island of Coronado with Carl Nelson. We had just toured Washington D.C. On Segways and decided to treat our Aussie friends from Adelaide to this unique experience. Carl was a great instructor and had us out on the tour in less than half an hour. It was a beautiful... The Segway tour was so much fun! Carl, our guide was patient and thorough. He made sure that everyone felt comfortable on the segways before we headed out on our tour. These amazing devices are fairly easy to get the hang of and extremely fun to ride. Having been to Coronado multiple times in the past, Carl gave us lots... More

I live in Coronado and decided to take my 16 year old grandson on the Segway tour. Neither of us ever rode a Segway before. I was extremely apprehensive( I am 69 and cannot even ride a bike) but Carl, our guide/instructor was wonderful and patient and we had a fantastic time. It is a wonderful way to see Coronado... When we arranged for all 7 of us to do the Segway tour, I was hoping for a "memory making" adventure. And that is exactly what we got. Two of our group were flying in but weren't to land until very close to the 10 a.m. starting time -- no problem for the Segway folks...they just moved our starting time... More

Having already glided on a Segway in Boston, we were eager to tour Coronado the same way. It didn't disappoint. Our 2 hr tour was preceded by a 15 minute safety lesson to ensure we were safe. Carl, our guide, was patient and clear in his demonstration and practice session. The tour itself was interesting and took us on sidewalks... More

The Segway tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Coronado. I was a little apprehensive about being able to actually ride a Segway without running into something but with the encouragement of our wonderful guide, Carl, I gave it a try. After a few "rocking horse" moments, I got the hang of riding this amazing machine. And... More

This tour is somewhat limited by where you can go on Coronado, but what you can see and do is great. Three great photo ops, one by the Hotel Del, one with the bridge and one with downtown San Diego in the background. We scurried down quiet streets with beautiful homes before making our way on bike paths under the... More

We booked our Segway tour whilst in San Diego, easily booked and confirmed through the Internet and e-mail. We got training on how to use the Segway then we had an hour and a half tour. We went down to the coastline and saw the golf course, the Coronado bridge, park and the ferry landing. It would have been nice... More

This is our third Segway tour as part of a vacation. They are easy to ride and remembering how to do it is easy as well. We spent about 15 minutes going over the riding basics and then toured part of Coronado. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable. I would have liked to have seen more of the Island and... More

The Segways are fun to glide on and a great way to cover a lot of ground without walking. We took the Coronado Deluxe and got an overivew and orientation of the history of the island, We glided past Coronado Beach, The Hotel Del, beautiful homes and gardens, parks, under the Coronado Bridge and got a fabulous view of the...
