We love all of the beaches around San Diego but coronado is our favorit. We like to park near the restrooms and walk out to the water. It is very pretty and clean.

i just love the beach and this one seems clean, not like other beaches that have been closed because they are contaminated.. i just love going, taking a breath thinking a bout life.... i love this place
Compared to the other San Diego beaches, Coronado is probably one of the best for sunbathing & swimming. It's beautiful & not as crowded as the other beaches. We actually saw a dolphin while we were there. It's close enough to plenty of shops and restaurants too. Parking is horrendous though.

Water was quite cold when we went in April though so don't get too excited about swimming. Only con: everything from gas to food...

Great clean beach with plenty of parking on the road. There are plenty of shops close by and eating houses should you need food.
there are no bad beaches on the island. these are the best beaches in San Diego, though this is not the best in Coronado. still why not see them all, then bike down the strand and see imperial beach too!
I walked this beach several times during my 6 day stay at the Del Coronado. The beach is very clean and well maintained.
Miles and miles of golden sandy beach and plenty of room for everyone. Free of hotdogs, chip or burrito sellers. Clean and absolutely lovely. You will end up parking outside people's houses on the road but there is plenty of spaces.
Went here after visiting the Hotel Del. It was so peaceful with a perfect breeze at about 70 degrees. I know it sounds crazy, but with the hotel right there, it's like your in a different time/world, like in the age of the Titanic or something of that nature. Just walking inside and outside the hotel and having a cocktail...
