Hands down, I love this beach more than any other in California. We visit every couple years, and year after year, Coronado proves to be worth the drive down the coast. Laguna Beach often has higher surf that the kids can't get into, plus, the sand is a nice fine powder. Such a great beach.

What a great beach. The sand is soft and clean. We all played in the sand. Trying to build a sand castle. Enjoyed the beach. Laying in the sun, playing catch. The water was great . You can just walk into it. Great day for the whole family...

If this refers to the beach that has the Del Coronado Hotel at one end and the Navy facility at the other, don't miss visiting it. The beach is long and lovely, uncrowded, and offers excellent views of the ocean and inland towards San Diego.

Nice, clean white sand beach. If you're lucky you might get a few dolphins swimming in the waves next to you. Also has the very famous Hotel Del Coronado overlooking it.

We always go to Coronado Beach for a long walk. Never seems crowded, at least away from the Del. Easy walking on the fine sand. Extremely wide beach. Dog run area at north end of beach.

The beach is always clean & has lots of Lifeguards. The expansive beach is just beautiful. You can get to the water the long way down through the middle. There are shorter routes for those with less stamina, like just South of The Del Coronado. It is never too crowded. There is a dog beach at the North end by... More

This was a very nice clean and sandy public beach. Free parking on the street if you arrive early enough. The restroom facilities were a little prison like, but they had a shower to rinse off the salty pacific residue. Situated on this beach is the Hotel del Coronado, which is rich with history and open to the public to... More

Such a gorgeous beach. The sand has tiny specks of mica which make it gold - it's so pretty when the tide runs over it.The sand also holds fantastically for sand castle building!;) Great beach for swimming and families.

What a lovely beach this is. Set between the icionic red roofed Coronado Resort and streets of beautiful homes. This is a great beach to spend a couple of hours at before walking into town for something to eat. There is free parking all around the surrounding streets.

Beautiful public beach. Clean soft sand. Gold flecked water. Unlike Pacific Beach more family/couples than singles oriented. Street parking only but the further you get from the Coronado Hotel the more available it becomes on the side streets. Pity they don't rent umbrellas or chairs. The low flying naval aircraft are an interesting diversion. Public showers and bathrooms. Be sure... More
