Great waves, clear water and glass free sand!

The waves are great for swimming, surfing, boogie boarding and paragliding. Unlike other beaches, the sand has no glass. The only downside is the limited parking.

Worth the 10 minute drive- beautiful expanse of beach in its natural state. No hotels or big restaurants- just beach! You can rent chairs and umbrellas by lot 3, worth a couple hour stay!

Ample Parking space($10) and peaceful surroundings. We went on a weekday. Except for the seaweeds, the water felt nice.

Should be called GOLDEN BEACH! Because of the Golden Strands.....Probably one of the best beach I've been to in a while. The sand was soft and smooth, golden and sparkly! We went after a record breaking rain storm and the water was perfect! Warm close to the shore and cool as you went out! It wasn't over crowded (which made... More

This beach is awesome. We camped in an RV in a beach front site. This was our 3rd time camping here. The weather was perfect, in the low to mid 70's. The waves aren't so huge that it is scary for the kids, but good enough for teenagers to do some boogie board riding. If you wake up early and... More

We were looking for a nice beach, not too crowded. This was just that. Restroom and showers, but not much else.

Gorgeous beach. Amazing sand and nice surf. This is one of the nicest beaches I have ever been to. The sand is really soft and then hard by the ocean. Good for jogging. The surf seemed quite safe to me. Not much under tow

We were staying in Chula Vista and biked over to Silver Strand SB for a day trip. We were there during the week in July and we basically had the beach to ourselves. The beach is several miles long and a good 100 yards wide in most places. The waves broke far out and just rolled to the shore, which... More

My family stayed across the street from this beach for a week and we loved it! The sand has that beautiful mica which causes it to shimmer and we had a great morning of sand dollar hunting one morning! It was perfect for boogie boarding, surfing and jumping waves. One word of caution: we were there over 4th of July... More

We love this beach. Easy access. You don't have to walk far to get to the water. Good bathroom access that isn't far away. Tons of sea shells, so if you collect or your children do, then you'll love it. It does cost $10.00 per day but it's worth it for no the no hassle parking and the great beach.
