It costs $10 to park the car and for that you get access to a beach that is covered in sea weed and toilets that are shocking in terms of their cleanliness ... I mean, really bad. Areas of the beach were "reserved" for kids groups for their camp surf lessons, which is fine until they start surfing in swimming... More

This beach had restrooms and food, so it is great if you are planning to stay all day. You have to pay to park. It was a bit crowded during our visit, but it was also a holiday weekend.

With lots of families and a very clean beach, it can get packed on good days, but there is enough room for everyone and it is well spread out. Lifeguards are on duty during hours and it is a great place for pictures and to watch the sunset, or even to go surfing or hang out in the water. The... More

Biking, hiking surf & sand, what more can you ask for? This sliver of beach is amazing and bring the bikes. adjacent to the 20 mile plus bike trail that starts in Coronado and ends in San Diego

We stayed right on the beach in site 121 and we loved it. I can see how other reviewers would be unhappy with a spot in the middle, but as far as our spot is concerned we we elated. The spots are tight for sure, but when your backyard is a beautiful beach it doesn't really matter. The other campers... More

The beach is in front of the Loews Resort. We plan to return to this stretch of beach, even if we have to stay at an alternative location. The beach seems to be populated with locals, and there are no dogs allowed. I felt like it less commercialized and back to nature.

We live 20 miles aways so we go as often as we can get a site, but it truly is a "parking lot" on the beach. If you are fortunate to get the front row ($65.00 a night), it's great, but the 2nd,3rd, and 4th row are really tight. The only way to make it work is to invite your... More

The beach cost $10 for use and it also seres as a camping site for a larger fee. We were guaranteed parking close to the beach unlike what we would have experienced at Coronado. The sand is REALLY fine with silver/gold sparkles everywhere. it's a hort beach so we had to move our beach blankets a few times as the... More

$10 to get into this state park beach. You'll find sea shells here and fewer crowds than at Coronado Beach. We thought it was boring, but others might like it because it's quieter and less commercial.

Conveniently located, plenty of parking, clean. The bathrooms left much to be desired, though. Easily accessible to the hotel.
