Tucked away on PCH in Corona del Mar is a garden oasis of peace, beauty and tranquility. The Sherman Gardens has walking paths that meander by a pond with turtles and fish, a rose garden, an herb garden, sun garden, shade garden, hothouse with orchids and much much more. The plant collection is artfully displayed, with some rather rare and... More

Lovely 5 acre botanical garden in Corona del Mar: Fountains and flowers, a tropical greenhouse, a southwestern cactus garden, a gift shop and a garden café for lunch or Sunday brunch. Hosts many weddings. A lovely place to spend a few peaceful hours.

Go for the Gardens- not the restaurant. The gift shop is fun, and the whole place is walkable in under an hour- good for the Senior Set, tho' some older paths, and some level changes..

Sherman Gardens is lovely. There are two parking lots. Since parking in CDM is almost impossible, the lots are tremendously helpful. The 2.5 acre space is divided into zones. The center court was filled with colorful dahlias. The tropic area was overrun with all types of blooming orchids. The turtle garden featured lovely flowers in an English country garden with... Sherman Gardens is the lovliest assortment of flowers, succulents, tropical plants and gorgeous flowers designed to bloom throughout the year that I've encountered. It showcases over 1200 plants, many of which I'd never seen! Their restaurant is open for lunch with an interesting though not inexpensive menu. Mondays are free to the public with a minimal $5 charge otherwise. There... More

I admit, tell me of a garden and I want to tour it, and photograph all the flowers and interesting plants. I have been in dozens of gardens in the last six months, across several continents, and this is unique in having many species with which I was unfamiliar. A gem! It is very, very inexpensive for what they offer,... More

It is a great place to take visitors. They have a beautiful garden and a gift shop. The admission is very reasonable and the gardens are kept up well.

We went there as a family and both of my kids loved it. Many different flower, cactus and water fountain to entertain them. Well maintained. Looks like a hidden gem in Corona Delmar. Parking is available on the street and small parking lot across the garden. We didn't have a chance to visit the library but will definitely do that... More

This is a lovely garden, with stunning displays of different plants - succulents, cactus, roses, etc. There is a lovely tearoom and a gift shop with a wide range of garden themed items. You can visit shop without paying admission although $5 per adult was very reasonable.
