I was given a heads up by a friend to buy a bottle of baby oil and a roll of paper towels if I planned on walking on any of these beaches. That turned out to be the best advice ever...that is the only thing that will get that gummy black stuff off of your feet..that and a pair of... More

It's really a nice place to stop with kids. A snow-ball vendor and a place where you can rent bodyboards or umbrellas. There is also a public restroom close by.

Wonderful beach for children. Our Nana planned a special pirate treasure chest hunt and hid clues all over the beach which culminated in our young boys digging up treasure!!! Peace Officer Lifeguard Kevin is the best and kept everyone safe and happy with a very busy beach and camp ground! Thanks Officer Kevin - we recommend people ask for you... More

I almost don't want to write this review.. I want people to stay away and keep this as un-populated as possible. Great beach set in a delightful community. People take pride in their community and you are left feeling safe. A little exploring around the beach will lead you to marine life and the sunset can't be beat.

We love coming to Carp beach. We rent a place 3 blocks away and always have a good time. The life guards are very friendly. Beaches are always clean and the kids love swimming out to the plank.

This is a brilliant find - not far from Santa Monica which I was disappointed with. Here the beach scene is much more relaxed and laid back - great facilities close by too and a lovely walk.

This is a lovely beach. Even the 8+ visible Oil Rigs don't distract from the over 4,500 feet of beachfront. There is camping, short hikes, a marsh, tar pits and the town itself has all the appeal of a small beach town. I searched online for over 30 minutes, trying to get some insight on the Oil Slicks that appeared... More

I love this beach park. It's close to the cute town of Carpinteria yet still feels like you're in nature while at the park. It's easily accessible by car, bike, train or by foot. In fact, you can avoid paying the daily fee by parking nearby and walking into the park.

I spent some mornings and evenings on this beach while on holidays in Carpinteria. It is quiet, clean and has breathtaking views of the mountains. I picked up a smoothie in town, and sat on the beach in the mornings. A fantastic beach! Lots of bathrooms and showers available too.
