I like the beach, the restaurants are not exceptional, the town is claustrophobic, but the beach has parking. Close to the train tracks.

This beach is great pet friendly,clean, sand was great to make sand castles. Bathrooms were also very well kept, and near by. Walking distance to eat.

I travel with my little dog - everywhere. Always looking for dog friendly spots and the beach here has a whole section where people can let their dogs off the leash and let them play. It's a joy to watch them romping and running. My little girl LOVED it!

Walking on the beach is great at sunset. One can get lost on the expanse and most people have gone by sunset.

A long flat sandy beach, tide pools at low tide, historic Tar Pits, and, if you follow the cliff trail, you will have excellent views of the harbo seal sanctuary. Pelicans, dolphins and island views add to my favorite stop along 101. Access the trails from free parking lots at the preserve or in town.
