Not crowded at all. $10 for day pass. Bathrooms weren't spotless but were surprisingly well maintained compared to other beaches/parks/etc. Definitely stop again if passing by

This was my 3rd visit here. I love this beach. It's clean, on the quiet side & you will feel very safe in this area. It's great for all ages. The water is always inviting & has gentle waves. Not for thrill seekers. You can walk out quite far & feel safe swimming. The town, Linden Ave, has little shops... More

We decide to check out he Carpinteria State Beach Campgrounds and Day Use Area. The Day Use area is really nice with lots of covered picnic tables and lots of parking. The campground is right along the beach, so your campsite can be anywhere from 5 feet to the sand or a couple of hundred feet. There are campsite with... More

Stopped here to stretch our legs- it was uncrowded and a nice beach to walk, with beautiful views. Parking wasn't a problem.

Worth the quick stop off the freeway and in such a cool little beach/ surf town. We took a stroll down the main road (linden) and then headed over to Island Brewing for a quick beer.

Plenty of space for just sitting, swimming or playing volleyball. Walkable from hotel but a little hike. Not bad as you can see what Carpenteria has to offer on the way. Our kids loved it.

This is a long and wide beach like what you may see in Orange County, CA but not the craziness of something like Laguna Beach and rated one of the safest in the country. Great little town right there to grab a quick meal. There is a campground there with all the facilities (didn't stay there). You can walk from... More
