Our family recently visited this beach after rave reviews from our son. He was right, it's a great beach. Bathrooms, showers, picnic area and lifeguards. Bathrooms cleanest I've ever seen at a beach. We paid the $10 to park for the day and were only steps away from the beach, so much easier to tote all of our gear. Highly... More

carpinteria state beach is considered to be one of the safest beaches in california. we love it. it is accessible from almost everywhere in the area, it is never too crowded, there are great facilities right nearby, almost anything you can think of is within walking distance. i wish i could live in the area for at least part of... After dinner we went to the beach to watch the sun set and have a night swim afterwards. It might be crowded during the day, that's why we went there afterwards, which was a good idea. Watching the sun settling down from the beach turns everything into a dark orange atmosphere, just wonderful! The night swim in the waves was... More

This used to be a hidden gem and now it is way too crowded. And crowded with classless people who crap in the shower and bathroom and it gets everywhere. I mean who does that!?!?

When I went to the beach it was packed with families, but keep walking down the beach, it gets quieter.

This is a very safe beach. The waves are usually smaller and kids have a great time. It is usually sunny here when it tends to be foggy a little bit down the road. There are lifeguards, restrooms, The Spot, for food, (about 2 blocks away). If you are staying in one of the great condos there, you'll be right... More

We have been to this beach three times over the last 7 years. We have friends who RV camp there so we rent a condominium nearby and ride out bikes there and spend the day with them. It is very relaxing and fun! Our experience with the weather is, it is usually overcast with one day a week that is... More

This was our second time camping here. The beach is beautiful. Great people around- a lot have been camping there for years. Downside.... Park rangers! Very uptight and rude. The regulars even said they're getting worse and worse. Also, tar in the sand. Other than that, would highly recommend. I hope the park rangers lighten up a little. We stayed... More

The beach was very beautiful at sunset! the only thing I didn't like was the cost of $10 to park at the beach. I thought that was very excessive! The upside was the attendant directed us down a service road to some apartments on the other side and suggested we park there for the short time we would be at... More

This lovely beach gets very busy at weekends. There is free parking near by. Beach has lifeguards at regular intervals.
