Amazing.

Beautiful beach. My mother and I spent a couple of amazing days just lying on the sand. It's good sand. And good sun. And good ocean. What more do you need?

A wonderful state park feet from the Pacific Ocean and restaurants galore. Shop keepers were pleasant and helpful. Clean bathrooms and views to die for

Really nice quaint town and beach just outside Santa Barbara.Nice grassy area to walk our little dog but no dogs on beach really limited our stay

Carpinteria is more quiet than nearby Santa Barbara. We prefered is town and beach for the evenings of our stay. But shopping and culture is netter in Santa Barbara.

Nice beach to walk on in January. Not crowded, and not cold. Watch out for the tar. Use WD-40 to get it off of your shoes.

This is a great place for swimming as the seas aren't too rough. Clean water, clean white sand, never too crowded. A little slice of paradise!

Even in September! The water was fresh and the beach was nice. It was fun, coming from France and swimming there, .

The Carpinteria State Beach is a beautiful example of a Southern California beach situated beside the small, very friendly, beach town of Carpinteria. The beach itself is very clean, sandy, easy to reach, and free. The surf is gentle which is perfect for body surfing or trying to launch a kayak. Some people fish from the shore and others snorkel... Beautiful beach great for boogie boarders, beach combers and sea gazers alike--spotted the occasional dolphin at play. Water can be cold enough to warrant wet suits but this October, it was warmer than usual. Ash Beach allows dogs. Just up from the beach is an innovative children's play park. Wonderful way to while away a day.
