Safe & Beautiful

I hear its one of the safest beaches in the World. I am not sure if that is true or not but it certainly is beautiful.

I was shocked to see a small plot of dirt with a picnic bench, with a chain link fence as one border and a curb where we parked as the other. We were shoulder to shoulder with our neighbors. Luckily our space was almost flat, some of the others were not. The saving grace is that you are steps away... More

The Rangers here follow you around waiting to hassle you. You camp in a parking lot with no space for a extra vehicle (unless you get lucky) Don't even bother if you have a dog

This beach is advertised as The safest in the world, and one of the most beautiful in California. It also has some of the largest tar pits outside of LA ! Yes, they are interesting looking, not so fun to play around, and create caverns in the sand with the pounding surf. I would suggest that The City/State let go... More

Great beach for families. Picnic areas, camping, etc. children's playground nearby + local brewery and beach shops just up the street.

We have camped here for over 20 years. My husbands family has been coming here for about 50 years! We LOVE the little town and all of the locals. This year we are bringing friends with us and the kids can't wait! Next year we may make 2 trips. Even a day trip is worth coming here.

Great beach! Soft sand and beautiful waves! Gets a little busy around 11AM but is still pleasant to be at! Great views and the water was actually fairly warm for this time of year

the unspoken problem along this coastline is balls of oil tar in the water and sand. Poor facilities, and dirty tar on all our feet After spending an afternoon here with the family. Seems the Tourism lobby is keeping this problem suppressed as we were completely unaware as Europeans. This problem affects many beaches from here as far as Santa... More

Caprinteria State Park is one of the most beautiful and easiest to enjoy parks in CA. Sun, sea, sand come together to welcome your play, rest and relaxation. The beach has a very gentle slope, waves are predictable and safe for children. There are sand dunes, surf fishing and fascinating hill side tar seeps. And you can camp right next... More

You have to love this beach. It's clean, safe and the locals so warm and friendly. The beach is cleaned daily and I know this as I run it at 6am each morning. Easy parking. No coffee shop close but it's way too warm for that.
