We visited the tasting room in Carmel Valley on Wednesday, May 20 late in the morning, just before noon. The young lady who was serving the wine was detached, uninterested, condescending, rude. There was only one other couple in the tasting room and she would not take the time to talk to us about the wine - don't know if... More

We are club members so we were here picking up our wine shipment. Excellent opportunity to taste wine!! I love the Bernardus Sauvignon Blanc- nice and refreshing. We ended up buying some of the Précis, an unbaked Chardonnay. It was on sale and perfect to spring days. The Pinot Noirs here are outstanding! The tasting room staff are friendly and... More

We live in the area. I am a member of their wine club and go by there to pick up my shipment. The tasting room is always busy and fun. We usually take our out of town visitors here. They recently remodeled the back portion of the wine tassting room to add a living room and private dining table. Very... More

I believe they have the best Chardonay [Sierra Mar] and the best Pinot in Carmel Valley , the St. Lucia Highlands Pinot[Gary Vineyards] can not be beat!

I am a long time wine club member that picks up his wine at the tasting room. We also take out of town visitors there. The staff is always friendly and the wine in always good.

I have been a wine club member of Bernardus for two years now. I hardly ever make it all the way into Carmel Valley - but when its time to pick up I cant get out there fast enough. They have renovated the space which allows for more seating (and drinking). I love to bring out of town guests with... More

We have been drinking the wines from Bernardus for years and without exception, they deliver a consistently great product. Stopped in on a recent road trip for some tasting and discovered their small plate menu. Great cheese and meat selections paired perfectly with their wines. If you are in the market for a rock solid wine, don't leave this one... More

Hopefully the new owners will shake this place up. Not enough umbrellas around the pool and food was expensive.
