Conveniently located, pleasant and knowledgeable staff and great wines. They had just sold out of the Viognier were after, but we purchased two Chardonnay wines and a fabulous Pinot Noir. Would recommend Boekenoogen as a "must stop" in Carmel Valley.

Finished our Carmel valley tasting here. Met the gracious owner who is folksy but smarter than a fox. A former lettuce farmer, now winemaker. great pours and well beyond the tasting menu if you are friendly. We didn't buy but I regret it now as this was some of the best wine in the valley. Even so, worth a stop.

This winery is all about their Burgundian pinot. All of them were good so make sure you choose those in your tasting. N Knowledgeable staff and friendly. One of the two tasting rooms I recommend in Carmel Valley

If you only had one tasting room to go to, this would be it, although we'd recommend Talbott, also. The best wines we tasted the whole trip, great Chard and Pinot. Small garden patio to have a picnic with your wine if you so desire. Service was personal and exceptionally helpful. No fee if you buy wine.

We visited the tasting room in Carmel. Boekenoogen, which we barely can spell and only after the visit can pronounce, was recommended by Talbott Vineyards. A shoutout of thanks to Talbott because Boekenoogen was worth the stop! The tasting room is welcoming and set in an exceedingly pleasant environment. Good feeling from the start. The people were friendly and willing... More

Great Pinots - very full without being overly fruity. Friendly and wine-knowledgeable staff. Reasonable tasting fee. At the east end of Carmel Village located approximately 12 miles / 15 minutes east of the intersection of Hwy 1 and Carmel Valley Road.

How can you not visit a winery with the name Boekenoogen! The white wine has a distinctive flavor, refreshing and unique. The staff is friendly. Try the Syrah, it is quite nice too. Very down-to-earth staff that treated us really nice. Mrs. Boekenoogen, thank you for a lovely experience.
