A beautiful place to be any time of the day

We have walked along the coast in fog, rain, and sunshine. With the number of others on the beach and path it is clearly a favorite for everyone.

My favorite path for walks several times a week. The only thing that keeps us away is high winds, hard rain ( now that we are getting some ) and busy work schedule. Every walk is a walking postcard and a reminder of how lucky we are to be here.

This is a scenic drive starting at the base of 8th Street. The road follows Carmel Beach. It offers incredible views of the water, crashing waves, rocks along the coast and the many houses and cottages that overlook the ocean. There are several places to park and go down to the beach where you can stroll in the white sands,... More

This is a beautiful area to just wander, get sand in your toes and listen to the waves as you take in the miles of beautiful beach. Gorgeous homes, and the awesome Monterey pine trees that are so different to those further north. Always something to catch your eye.

We drove along the scenic roadway. Very nice scenery and some interesting homes. Nice views but not spectacular.

No wonder everyone swoons when they mention the west coast waters and towns because these places are paradise spots to regain what we lose around too many people. The water, sand , sky and coastline in Northern California is an amazingly poetic space to shake off the cluttered mind and breath deep!

Walking down Scenic Road is a delightful and relaxing experience. Scenic goes south of Ocean, almost at the bottom by the beach. The first few blocks are residential, with the "normal" great looking homes. As you get past them, you are right on the beach with its white sand, easy trail, and increasingly expensive and beautiful homes on the east... More

Dead sea was an amazing sight. Water was very cold when we walked on the beach a little. Some areas had very pretty sights with seagulls on the side!
