A group of us hired bikes and cycled this famous road. It was well worth a full afternoon as the views were fantastic and there was plenty of wildlife to see ( deer, pelicans, seals birds etc.). There are loads of great photo opportunities along the way. Do it and take your time to enjoy it.

I had fond memories of this drive from 25-30 years ago. Alas, it has changed a great deal, not necessarily for the better. There is more development, more houses, fewer views. I don't remember paying before (but may have forgotten). There are some nice views and I got some good pictures, but I'm not sure it's worth the $10 fee.

Had no idea what to expect. Beautiful drive. They will reimburse you the gate fee of $10.00 if you spend $30.00 or more. We ate at the Bench-located in the Lodge. The most beautiful view!! Food was very good, so was the service. The drive along the coast was unbelievable-all those beautiful homes!

We thought the drive would never end. You wind around and look at people's big homes, see golf courses. And a lot of the ocean.

This was a very scenic drive and the $10 admission fee was refunded by the restaurant at Pebble Beach Golf Club

This 17 mile drive features spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean as well as some majestic homes. Along the way, you can stop for a round of golf at the famous Pebble Beach Golf Course (or maybe grab a bite to eat). There are many places to pull over and enjoy the view so bring your camera and allow plenty... More

Why anyone would complain about paying $10 to drive the beautiful 17 miles of Pebble Beach is beyond me. While I didn't buy anything in the gift shop, I appreciated having the nice, clean bathroom break before heading further south to Big Sur country. I considered the 17-mile drive a warm up for the amazing and gorgeous views of Route... More

I think charging 10.00 to drive 4 miles up to Pebblebeach Golf Course to buy your best friends husband a golf towel for 22.00 was a bit much. We drove part of the way and were so disappointed we turned around and headed south for the Hearst Castle.

Not worth it in my opinion. The FREE drive on PCH 1 from San Francisco to Monterey - now that was amazing - stunning views, quaint beach towns, farmland and fruit stands, that is something to experience. Just take the short route to Carmel and skip the $10 Seventeen Mile Drive.
