It was worth it, even in the rain :-). Kelley was very informative. Gave us tips where to go, what to do after the walk. The walk set me up for my first visit of Carmel. He knew a lot if history that he shared with our group.

Had a great time with an excellent and knowledgeable guide, super friendly and real. Learned a bit of history, some fun facts. We visited lovely galleries, shops and restaurants that I would not have know about had it not been for the tour.

This was our first time in Carmel area. We had signed up for this tour for our first morning here, 7-23-13. There are several guides that they use and ours for today was Kelly. He grew up in Carmel. We met in the Pine Inn Courtyard on Ocean Ave. There were about 12 in the group. The tour was a... More

Gael is a fabulous tour guide! This is a must-do before you spend any time in Carmel. You get a Wonderful history of the area, and see SO many things. It is fun, because after the tour, you can take your time and revisit your favorite areas! Wear very good walking shoes as it is very fast-paced and you go... More

My wife and I overall thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour. Gael was very personable and knowledgeable regarding the history of Carmel, its people and architecture. It was fun walking about and through many inns, galleries and restaurants in the business district. And in this was the disappointment -- the tour does not leave the central town business distric and venture... More

Our group of 12 ladies booked a private tour with Gael and we had a wonderful time. Gael provides a great tour of carmel, private little gardens, galleries, bed and breakfasts, historial hotels and even let us ring the bell at the Church. Another highlight was while standing in front of City Hall, the mayor walked out and took pictures... More

My friend and I were fortunate enough to have Gael to ourselves the day we booked. But Gael would be just as great with a big group as a small one - she has so much information to share about the town and its environs. I've been wanting to do this tour for several years, and am so glad I... More

My husband and I decided to take this tour as we are frequent visitors to the Monterey Peninsula and have always been curious about Carmel. This tour was perfect for us. The tour guide, Gael, gave a most informative talk on Carmel past and present. On our walk we visited several galleries (including art, sculpture and photography), some unusual hotels,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Carmel with Gael. We live in the Bay Area and have been visiting Carmel for more than 40 years but we learned so much about the history, architecture, and the colorful personalities and artists that have made Carmel-by-the-Sea such a unique spot. We visited galleries, charming hotels, hidden courtyards and historic buildings -... More

Our walking tour with Gael was the highlight of our visit to Carmel. You can explore by yourself but Gael shows you how to navigate the villages' nooks and crannies and her knowledge and enthusiasm are refreshing. We used her overview of this picture perfect village as a guide for our 3 day visit. Beautiful town, cheap and terrific tour,... More
