Perfect beach to meander and see the Pebble Beach golf course as well. Lots of shells available along the way.

Carmel beach is a must see. Photo opts everywhere. Bring your dog and take a long walk along the ocean. Go up to Scenic Drive and just sit on a bench and enjoy the views and people/dog watch. Afterwards walk up 8th, left at Lincoln one block to Cypress Inn and enjoy a meal and drink on the outside patio.... More

The Carmel City Beach is the main tourist attraction of the city. It starts from the end of Ocean street and runs till the 13th street. It is famous of it's white sand and spectacular sunsets. City ordinances allow to build small fires between 8th street and 13th street. There are posted signs about the rules. Please if you read... More

Free for everyone to enjoy. Dogs galore. Must be under voice control of owner, but don't count on it. Bonfires allowed south of tenth street. Go at sunset.

Carmel Beach is unique in that it is dog friendly...with friendly dogs...and entirely walkable. In other words, intimate yet spectacular. The views of the surrounding environs make it even more breathtaking. And the City of Carmel by the Sea takes great care to keep it clean and accessible. You can even get a permit to build a bonfire or get... More

What I love about this beach is that the sand is packed enough that you can run or walk with your shoes on if you want, but soft in places if you don't want to. The waves are pretty big, but the dog watching is the best. Don't go if you're afraid of dogs. The residents of Carmel LOVE their... More

This area from Mission Inn to Scenic Drive at the end of Ocean is great for really getting the idea of what exercise and scenery should be about. Just be there and enjoy!

Lovely beach for admiring the views. The Ocean is so beautiful around Carmel and is different every day. Clean beach and nice for a walk.

It is a great beach and the views are stunning. The morning we went there weren't too many people but then again it was early spring.

Though it was chilly, the beach provides an excellent walk. We enjoyed all the dogs running in and out of the water. It was fun to watch the surfers, too.
