It's so picturesque. Pebble Beach Golf course just up the road. Amazing rugged views. The 17 mile drive starts here.

Loved the soft sand, the view and the type of people who visited the beach. I loved the quaint shopping area just a few blocks east of the beach.

The sand on the beach was so white and pretty! Lots of seaweed but didnt bother us! The view is spectacular! There were A LOT of beautiful friendly dogs running around but stayed close to their owners. We took lots of great photos!

A fantastically stunning beach that pictures don't do justice....you need to stand at the top of the dunes looking out towards the turquoise waters below to really take in its beauty. Wether its an early morning stroll watching the dolphins play, a great family beach afternoon or watching the sun disappear over the shimmering horizon, this the beach to do... More

After dinner in Carmel by the Sea we walked to the city beach. What a treat! We saw dolphins swimming not far from shore. The sand is super soft. The scenery is amazing. The water in August was too cold for us to swim, but it didn't matter. We loved putting our feet in the Pacific.

Really enjoyed our trip to Carmel City Beach, it was a quiet afternoon and we spent a few hours lazying around in the sun watching seals bob up and down. The beach is quite steep where it meets the water and I had read it's local nickname is "Mortuary Beach" as it claims a few lives each year with the... More

A huge sand dune right at the bottom of Ocean Ave in Carmel, makes for a magical sunset sitting in the incredibly fine white sand. Even the crowds were not annoying, because there is so much room for everyone to spread out. Just lovely.

The beach had nice smooth sand with area's of sea kelp washed ashore. It was dramatically wide and the scenery in the bay was fantastic.

Carmel Beach was gorgeous with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The views, the soft sand, even the cold water in June was truly magnificent. A dog friendly beach too. We stayed in Carmel-by-the-Sea at the Monte Verde Inn for a few days and made the hike to the beach each day we were there. The walk down was a piece of... More

Carmel is truly a treasure. Driving along the one way street that borders Carmel City Beach is enchanting! Every, darling beach home perfectly maintained and artfully different. The winding, narrow avenue offers parking on the beach side and easy access via long staircases down to the water. The beach is dog friendly and water dishes are available. The sand is... More
