Carmel is such a beautiful place to visit and the beach is the icing on the cake. How lucky the residents of this unique town are to have this gorgeous beach at the end of their main street. The view is just breathtaking any direction that you gaze. I have been to many beaches around the world but there is... More

This beach is pristine, yet people are permitted to "use" it.....No prohibitions against fires, frisbees etc. like on the East Coast beaches....We happened to be there when the Alaskan storm waves came in. It was fun to watch the surfer's at Carmel. The swells were huge and my pictures are great. Try to catch a sunset with wine, cheese and... More

We walked down to the beach. The view is breath taking. This was made more so by the dolphins playing right in the surf. It was a picture perfect day!

I lived there in the 60's and felt like I stepped back in time. My dog "Sam" and I would walk to the beach almost every day. Everything was just as I remembered it. I always wanted to take the wife and finally made it. She loved the place also.

We beachcombed all along the beach both ways. Went as far as bare feet allowed up to Pebble Beach. As we started back, we noticed two dolphins bobbing just past the waves, and followed them back to the south. There were at least 7 dolphins in the pod, playing and feeding. We found a trove of shells, suitable for stringing,... More

Beautiful beach - couldn't find a parking place on the one way road running by the beach, but parked on a street and walked down to the beach. White sand, not too crowded - no vendors/places to eat on the beach itself which we enjoyed that it is not commercialized. Could walk up the hill to the restaurants/shopping close in... More

Have to check this out at sunset. Pelicans diving and dolphins swimming close to the beach come often. With the colorful skyline also, how can you miss?

This was are first time at Carmel City beach, our first dog beach and the first time our dogs have been to a beach. It was great. The water was clean. The beach was white sand and very clean. There is a ton of room and dogs run free LOL. We got there early because it is a pretty popular... More
