We were there for their Vintage Affair (April 2013) and had a fabulous time. They had reserve wines and other wines for tasting - they had a nice lunch. There was great guacamole, salsa and chips. There was wonderful barbecued cheese quesadilla. and their berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) were some of the best we have ever had. They also had... More

Beyond beautiful place. A must see! Great wine too! Very relaxing and tranquil. Perfect place to see the beauty of California and enjoy some of the best wines from the soils of California.

We went for their scheduled 12:30 wine tour (set tour times are 10:30 & 2:30 Mon- Fri. and 12:30 & 2:30 Sat-Sun) I think it is a mixed bag when it comes to tour guides, ours was great, very down to earth and fun, however there are some employees that seemed to be very up-tight, almost snooty, so your experience... My husband and I recently went to a wine tasting and tour of Chateau Julien. Our tour guide Shawn (sp?) was a wonderful guide and a hoot to boost. Enjoyed every minute of the tour and grounds and would visit again!

Went to visit Chateau Julien on Thursday October 18, 2012. The hours stated that they were open 8-5. We came at 4:30 just to peek around and possibly make a reservation for wine tasting the next day. There was NO ONE around, so we checked to see if the doors were still open. They were, so we slipped in to... More

Book ahead for one of their guided tours - they take about an hour but you never get bored. Plenty of good wine to try and stuff to see - from grape to bottle. Very easy to get to and $7 each was well worth it.

We recently hosted a wedding on site with the ceremony taking place before sundown out amongst the vines followed by a reception in the "barrell room". The owners have made terrific strides in improving the support staff and paying attention to details. Everything was done extremely well....and the venue was spectacular. The food was quite good and expertly served. Overall,... More

I visited Chateau Julien while staying in Carmel about 2 years ago with my boyfriend and a friend. We had called ahead to reserve a spot on their afternoon walking tour before arriving and did the tour through the winery and vineyards which consists of about 6 small tastings as you move along. It was a nice tour and (at... More

We took a ship tour of this WInery and were very pleased with the escorted tour and knowledge of tour guide at the Winery. It is set within a beautiful valley and we were surprised with the quality of the wines and the cheeses, grapes, and crackers to complement the tour. We liked it as much as the Jacuzzi WInery... Wonderful winery, with knowledgeable staff and great wines. If we lived closer we would become wine club members
