I played here two years ago, probably one of the worst "resort" courses. I've ever played, got in late Friday and thought I'd give them another try after they told me they had renovated it. The greens were terrible, slow and burnt up, the fairways were very thin. I tried to play the champions course, but was told its for members only.... More

We enjoyed our play here! The marshals made sure the round moved at a pace for us to enjoy. This truly a nice facility that takes care of their patrons. Worth the money

Our first impression was that this is an amazing golf resort. And if you want to practice this is the perfect spot. After +200 course visits this practice facility must be the best one I have seen. But when playing 18 holes at the Legend I am sad to say that the playing conditions where bad. A challenging course turned... More

I decided to play here because of the LPGA and the renovations that were done. I have to ask, where did the money go? The course was in horrible shape. I was a single and obviously was expecting to be paired up with others. When I was in the golf shop a husband and wife were getting fitted for everything... More

We had a great time with our caddie Tom Hardebeck. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us lots of tips and good advice. We really enjoyed the golf on The Legends. The course was in wonderful shape.

The whole La Costa Resort is world famous and worth a visit. Rooms - tennis - spa - golf it has it all. The pros have held many tourneys here. The golf course as expected is very well maintained etc. However I've played there several times now and am not a big fan of the layout.

The greens were in really good shape for having a full on summer drought. Played the North (Champions) course and found it quite playable. Divots in the fairways were filled, ball marks on the greens were repaired and no aeration yet even though many local courses have this being done at this time. Course amenities include a nice driving, chipping... More

We played the South Course or now called "Legends" and it was in great shape. The greens were in well groomed & fast, fairways cut, rough was, well rough. Pace of play was good although it did slow up by hole 15-16 for no apparent reason. The North (Champions Course) and the South alternate days they're available for play based... More

Family stay in Carlsbad with two small children. The pools are fantastic especially for kids 12 and under. The breakfast buffet was great too. There is a video game room and kids club. Parking is a hike. Over all good stay, I would recommend it.
