This winery doesn't grow the grapes, but the two-medal winner at the 2000 Orange County Fair makes an excellent red wine, and its Zinfandel is a big seller.

A friend and and I stopped in after an afternoon of exploring Carlsbad Village. What a warm and welcoming reception we had. The first young lady that started our tasting experience was lovely. She had to leave to go home to a sick child (hope everything turned out ok). And then an equally warm and informative gentleman helped us out.... More

My wife and I stopped by for a wine tasting and we were very impressed. The wine was good, and the tasting was reasonably priced. The best part is the folks working were very helpful and fun. If you like wine, stop by and enjoy Carlsbad Village!

Stopped in here with my step-mom one evening for a casual post-dinner wine sampler. It's a really cool spot with a kind and knowledgeable staff. The winery is very small, but the atmosphere is really laid back and fun. I absolutely love the murals. Great activity for a rainy evening. Added bonus: one of the guys who works here is... More

Very nice employees. I was honestly pleasantly surprised with the wines. Bought two bottles. Small, but would recommend stopping.

Being of Northern California stock I am well versus in the winery world. Being in Carlsbad I needed to try my hand at a winery of Southern California lineage. Witch Creek provided that opportunity and they did not disappoint. The folks behind the counter were knowledgeable and friendly. The wines are mostly medium bodied whites and reds. There was one... Loved it. Pleasantly surprised with the wines. We are wine club members from Paso Robles and Napa and so we weren't sure what to expect. But the staff was very friendly maybe not very knowledgable but it really didn't matter. It is more about having fun and enjoying the atmosphere with friends

Wine was OK, the service mediocre. Not a bad location at all, merely the quality of the product. The mural on the side of the building was probably the best thing about this winery. Bottom line - if you're in the area, it's not bad to visit, but don't make the trip to Carlsbad for it.

Stopped by to try the wine selections with a flight of wine. Come to find it was wine walk week, which means that flights were half off and bottles are discounted. Well lucky us, we stated a while to enjoy the entire red wine selection and found that the full bodied red wines are very good. There is a little... More

Witch Creek Winery is a comfortable place to stop and taste. No stuck-up wines or staff here - homey atmosphere with one-of-a-kind wines.

We were on our first day of vacation in Carlsbad and thought we'd hit a winery on our way to the grocery store. First thing I noticed was the fabulous mural on the exterior wall. We went inside and bought a pair of 6 wine tastings for $10. We went with all reds. We enjoyed all of them, particularly the... More
