We stopped in here with a person who is a member of their club, so we got free tastings (that was a nice bonus). They were serving a nice variety - starting with a sparkler (delicious!), and then on to white wines, and some excellent reds. Definitely worth a stop if you're a wine lover.

Witch Creek Winery has been in business in Carlsbad for years now. We always enjoy a stop for tasting when in the area. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Try their sweet wines. I took home two bottles to have with a cheese platter for a happy hour soon!

I decided to be a tourist in my own backyard and try out this wine tasting room before heading down to the beach to soak up some rays. For $10 you get to taste from six different bottles. I tried the white varieties and the ciders. The Savignon Blanc was like sour water. I also tried a couple others in... More

Sadly, I am writing my first negative review. We were visiting Southern California for a special occasion and only for a few days. Overall, the trip was amazingly perfect. The only dark spot was our visit to Witch Creek Winery. I work in the wine industry in the Pacific Northwest. I LOVE wine of all kinds so it was high... More

Came in with my father and husband, paid $7 for 5 tastings. It says winery but this is only a tasting room, a small one at that. The wine was a huge let down, didn't like any of them. Some were just like syrup. The staff was not very informative of their products and didn't really talk to us. They... More

Stopped in for a wine tasting on our trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful in recommending local places. The reds were quite good and we took home a bottle of a Spanish red for the holidays. Very popular that night and it was clear why.

Wow - what a surprise this place was! In the middle of Carlsbad, but wine-making on premises. Barrels of wine in the back of the tasting room. Really nice reds; we tried them all. Bought their meritage to drink with dinner. Megan was fun & knowledgeable - plus she offered us some great pumpkin cheese torte that went very well... More

Their on-site wine maker is amazing. To those who say that it is not a winery, making excellent wine makes a winery, not growing the grapes. They purchase grapes from a variety of locations and Witch Creek does an amazing job at taking those grapes and producing red wines that are reasonably priced and are great tasting. What more could... More

Went to this "winery" in Carlsbad, it is really not a winery with land but they do have the products and are mixing the barrels in the back. Not a problem since they have very reasonable taste testing at $ 7 per person, and we had a two for one coupon. Server was very friendly, and we actually stayed and... More
