We did not have a hard time finding parking kinda just drove around and found a dirt lot for free parking. This Beach is a rocky bring tennis shoes to walk and sandals or bare feet for the seashore.
Bocce ball, Frisbee, run or walk? It's for you. Sit and stare at the ocean, it's for you. Dig in the sand and bring a snack, it's for you! There are no bad days at this beach!
One of the best beaches in California, clean & wide, never too crowded. We walk there very often, leaving nearby. Have experienced some beautiful sunsets there. Highly recommended.

This beach is pretty, laid back, not terribly crowded, close to downtown Carlsbad. Great views from the street walking path, the beach level walking path or the beach. I'm local and come here frequently. Enjoy!
Just feels special. Can imagine all those California Dreaming songs and movies. Can not think off this place without wanting to be there. Will always be a part of me in Carlsbad
This beach is no where near as busy as the other beaches we went to and was great. I'm not a surfer, so take this with a grain of salt. The waves didn't seem as big as other beaches and we didn't see many surfers there compared to the other beaches.
We stopped by here in the late afternoon and it was pretty deserted, the kids had a great time collecting seashells and other treasures in the surf. It appeared to be a fairly clean beach.
