Loved the beach and also walking along the beach. Lot's of friendly people. Nice waves, so there were plenty of surf boarders there. The climate was so it wasn't too hot. So relaxing.

As RVer's we love to search for unique spots. We've stayed at South Carlsbad State Beach RV park a half dozen times in our motor home, each time pulling right up to the fence. In the morning, we enjoy our coffee, looking out the front window, watching the dolphins frolic 100 yards in front of us. No hookups, but for...

This was across our room, nice early morning walk.Easy access from our resort, great sunny weekend.Nice trail and looked getting my feet wet.
Hard to book a camping spot, long wait, and sites are on top of each other. On the plus side you hear the ocean as you drift off to sleep. The camp site beach is rocky though
What a great place to walk, jog or run (or bike for that matter). We enjoyed a number of walks along the paved path alongside the beach. Everything was in good condition - benches, bathrooms and water fountains.
This beach is my favorite beach in Southern Ca. Best time to go is summer time for the warm 80 degree weather. Many restaurants and shops located walking distance from the beach which makes it extra nice! There are also public restrooms and showers!
Love the beach. Lots of room. Great waves. Surfing down the strip. Lots of parking. Large parking lot. Parking on the street. LOTS of skin getting a tan.
We spent the afternoon at the Carlsabad beach, and it was a very pleasant experience. Even though we had an electric utility station at our backs. But, hey, even Southern California needs electric, just like the rest of the USA.
The beach had great sand, and the surf was not aggressive. The afternoon was just what we were looking for....

Very good access to the beach from the car park. Only negative was, to wash up or to use the rest room, it's very far and it's up, on the roadside.
Directly below our campsite on the bluff, a long set of stairs led to this narrow beach. Loved it. Good presence of the beach patrol too, and not too crowded.
