It has room for free parking, long sand expanse, lifeguards and a bathroom. Surfing and bodyboarding are good.

Pretty beach, but dogs are never allowed! So it gets low marks. Lots of stairs to get to... But once there it is very pretty. So many other beaches allow dogs early in the morning or early evening I think this would make this a more attractive place to visit.

Convenient location, great for relaxation and people watching. There's also volleyball. Restrooms and showers are close by.

Spent a day here on Labor Day. They have large spots that will accomadate a motor home, 3 tents, and 3 cars. On a cliff above the Carlsbad Beach. There is a fire ring at each space. Water faucets, showers, restrooms and a nice market on site.

Great beach, not that crowded. Nice waves when i went. Good for boogie boarding, probably not surfing... at least not when i went.

Went to the beach after dinner and enjoyed a deserted beach with a wonderful sunset. Spotlessly clean with easy access, definitely worth a visit.

Wow...I had no idea that amount of beautiful beach there was available in Carlsbad. Much of the beach is open to the public.

Great walking, very clean. Easy access and quiet beach. If tide is in, can catch up against a berm so I would keep an eye on little children.
