First time any of us went and it was awesome. Rusty was very encouraging and it was a lot of fun! Would definitely recommend SoCal!

we had a great time learning to surf with Rusty. He did a great job keeping in contact with me via email. we had no problem finding him. his other instructors were also wonderful.

We were staying for a week in Carlsbad and had 3 options for surfing lessons - 1 in San Diego (Mission Beach), 1 in Encinitas, and 1 in Carlsbad (SoCal Surfing) - I emailed them and received a reply immediately from Rusty the owner - he explained that a lot of first-timers are more comfortable in Carlsbad because the waves... Finding vacation activities for teenagers can be a challenge but our daughter has always wanted to learn to surf. Not much chance in Minnesota!
