This is a free city park located on the remaining grounds of the actor's ranch. The interiors are not accessible, but one can peak in the windows and imagine life here in the 1930s and 1940s. At the visitor's center the staff are very friendly; a film provides an orientation to the actor and early environmentalist. A great stop on... More

This historic ranch is beautifully preserved and well kept. You can tour around on your own on the beautiful grounds and trails and read the many signs posted about the history of the ranch. As a big fan of the tv show The Cisco Kid as a child, seeing the ranch that belonged to Leo Carrillo (the co-star of the... More

Not a lot happening here, but interesting to imagine what happened during the ranches heyday (or hayday!). A free local attraction.

Been a while since I visited but nothing seems to change. A nice walk through a Rancho, walk through the restored Adobe home, and out-buildings. Peacocks strut about. Good place for a picnic on a sunny afternoon. Close to Legoland and Craftsmanship museum. Trader Joe's shopping center also close by for snack foods. Good for students studying California History.

A quiet ranch with walking trails and the preserved homestead of Leo Carrillo. Mr. Carrillo is a 7th generation Californian so his history goes beyond Hollywood. When you step into his ranch you learn about the Luisitos Tribe, some California History, and about the life of Leo Carrillo. Friendly docents will greet you at the Visitor's Center where you can... This is a real gem, not well known and in the middle of Carlsbad/San Marcos. Leo Carrillo played Pancho in the Cisco Kid TV series. He purchased many acres in North San Diego County and operated his Ranch thereon. Hollywood stars would regularly visit. Over the years developers purchased a lot of the land. However the Historical Society saved and... More

Attended a wedding at ranch. It was a perfect location for an outdoor wedding. There are peacocks roaming the area and the grounds are beautifully cared for. It's a walk on a dirt road down to wedding location, so I recommend flats until you get down to location to put on heals. The courtyard was just beautiful for the reception.

This is a nice place to visit, there plenty of walking trails on and around the property, peacocks all over the place that like to pose for pictures, you can learn about the history about Leo Carrillo and the Cisco Kid, and there is plenty of parking.

Leo Carrillo, alias Pancho from the old TV show "The Cisco Kid" is a wonderful local house museum full of reminders from times past. It's a fun place to bring people to see how Haciendas were constructed in the early 1900's as well as reminders of old film stars who used to visit Leo on his ranch. I went with... More

A visit to this ranch was recommended to us as interesting, lovely & peaceful. Growing up in the 50's my husband used to enjoy watching "The Cisco Kid" so Leo Carrillo as Pancho was familiar. We arrived for a 12 pm Sunday tour (free) led by Pam. She led us along with a wealth of stories as she shared her... More
