This is one out of three lagoons in Carlsbad. This one in particular is great for all kinds of water sports, kayaking, water bikes, pedal boats, jet ski. The lagoon is about 2 miles from Tamarack Beach and many very good restaurants. Lots to do!

Having grown up in MI canoeing from childhood on, we enjoyed cooling off during our recent hot spell at the convenient Carlsbad Lagoon. We took advantage of a discount coupon which gave us two hours to explore for the cost of one. We were given a heavy gauge red plastic two person canoe, with solid wood paddles and two life... More

You can either rent or bring your own equipment. If you bring your own (kayaks, or stand up paddleboards) you can launch for free from Bristol cove. Parking is on the street, but usually available.

Carlsbad Lagoon is easy to get to off the freeway. Groupon's available which is great! Parking is great. The rental porcess is really easy we were in the water in 15 minuets on a holiday weekend. There was no training needed and no life jackets handed out. We were experienced so that was fine but it made me nervous for... More

Rented a double kayak and explored the lagoon, which took about two hours. Saw several water birds and fish jumping out of the water. Great summer fun.

We took our family to Carlsbad Lagoon to try Paddleboarding thanks to a groupon. It was a great price to try paddleboarding although a bit hard to do for first timers with the jet skis and ski boats cruising about. The kids loved the raft they could jump around on. The prices are great and the staff was exceptional for... More

We originally went here to rent jet ski's, but upon seeing the jet ski area (a circular area maybe 400 yards in circumference) with five jet skis going in circles, we decided to pass on that. It might be a good option for some one jet skiing for the first tim;, riding in circles with multiple other jet ski's didn't... More

We live nearby and always pass by but never stopped. We went for a few hours and it was a lot of fun for the whole family. We did the wave runner and peddle boat. The wave runner was fun and fairly easy to switch between family members although the landing where everyone brings in their equipment gets really crowded... More

Great place with lots of options and a very attentive staff. They made it very easy to rent the wave runners, and they have paddle boards and kayaks as well. Staff was very good. They took a lot of time to explain policies and answered all of our questions. We loved it!
