My family and I love New Brighton State Beach---we camp there every couple of months. It is gorgeous! Our last trip, however, raised some questions about rule enforcement in the park. We stopped here this past Saturday to walk around and enjoy our picnic lunch that we had packed for our surfing day in the Santa Cruz area. There is a small fee to get in here, but you can visit all of the State beaches with a day pass. There are several steps that lead down to the beach here.... more
