Awesome camping!

Wish they had more sites with hookups, but still our favorite place to camp. The beach is beautiful, kelp and such around but as you get closer to the ocean it's just nice sand

Is it possible for a State Beach Park to NOT be great?! Not a particular favorite of mine, but many like it. there's camping, picnicking and nice walks on the beach.

We camp here every year the first week of June and it one of the highlights on our entire year. The campground is clean, quiet and has great showers after a day at the beach. It has amazing views of the ocean from the day use area and it is convenient to walk to the beach from the campground with... More

This is a wonderful long beach for walking with interesting and beautiful homes along its ocean front. It is a State Park and therefore there is a fee. We, as seniors, paid $4.50 each for a day pass. There is over night campsites. A great hidden treasure just 1/4 mile off Hwy 1. The beach is not handicapped friendly, but... More

Great long beach for a good walk with dogs on leash. Gentle surf and good beach combing possibilities. Parking is $10 per car, but you can easily park nearby and walk and not pay the fee. If you have a lot of beach stuff, it's probably worth it to pay to be close.

This beach is simply breathtaking not only because of the actual beach and sea animals but the friendly locals and visitors. It is a wonderful place to go for a run or just meander, or to head towards the Visitor Center and Park Shop - they have a cool looking pink sea anemone in a tank and some awesome looking... More

This beach is really beautiful. It has mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. One can walk from here to Seacliff (Cement Ship) beach easily. The surf is a little challenging here so watch your children. There are rangers who patrol so it is safe. The parking is great and very close to the beach. There are... More

Very clean sites and beach. You are very close to town for supplies yet can experience a very nice camping and beach setting. The weekdays seemed very uncrowded. Nice for small children. Dogs are allowed on the beach but there is a very nice long sliver of beach as you walk away from the park and walk towards Capitola. As... More

New Brighton State Beach joins up with the main beach in Capitola and is in between it and Seacliff Beach. The cliff behind the beach is very impressive and keeps the beach from being developed and packed with beach rentals. The day we were there it was not crowded, a few people here and there with their dogs. A sea... More
