Over the years, I’ve made many trips here with my friends to fish or to dine at one of their exceptional restaurants along the coast! There are no major... More

This was my first time and I was struck by the calmness (mid week noon)... More

Literally, we were in and out in about 10 minutes. The kids like seeing an original "Beach Cottage". They couldn't believe how tiny it was. We're so spoiled!

History of Capitola with great pictures and displays in a house that was recycled and moved to its current location. Outside, there is a cool example of accommodation from an earlier time. They change the exibit yearly so you need to return. The Museum has walking tours of Capitola call or check web page for dates

If you are at all interested in history, Capitola has a MOST colorful history and this museum has captured much of it in it's tiny space. They've recently move an old beach cabin (iconic history for Capitola)... More

Just across the parking lot from the Capitola Police Station is the cute and charming Historical Museum that is lovingly put together with as much memorabilia that you can possible stuff into the tiny house. I only live a few blocks away and I make it a point to stop by a few times a year to see what is... More

Not the most thorough museum in the world, but charming and informative. A lovely little addition to your trip to Capitola.

Fast and fun overview into local history. Exhibits appeal to young and old alike. The museum is staffed by local volunteers who can share a wealth of information.

This little museum is a great way to start or end your visit to Capitola. It is great for children of all ages. Even if the museum is closed, stop and enjoy looking into the restored beach cottage and oldtime bathroom.
