This is a great black-sand beach bracketed by rocks and tide pools. Easy to end to end in an hour. Some fun driftwood scattered around. Usually find seals on the rocks and plenty of birds. Parking is easy in the winter, expect it is hard in the summer. If you want to find moonstones, go to one of the secluded... More

Okay, it was raining and super cold, but this made the whole drive even more beautiful. We enjoyed a break in the park

We always stay at an inn on Moonstone Drive and try to get a room with a balcony or patio overlooking the ocean. There is a boardwalk that stretches the length of Moonstone Drive with little observation decks and stairways to the beach. We normally start our day with my husband heading off for a jog down Moonstone Drive which... More

Heard about this place from a friend. Went for a day trip but ended up staying the night. Peaceful atmosphere and great views.

Moonstone Drive is a beautiful place to visit. Boardwalks line the beach and the locals are friendly.

Stellar views over the ocean, and pristine landscapes! Bravo. I want to live on this street! Take a drive down the road past the beach and dream a little dream...

Great views along Moonstone Drive. One of the best boardwalks in California. It rivals the boardwalk areas along Asilomar on the Monterey Peninsula.

I love the chillaxin' vibe and accessibility of Moonstone Beach - the boardwalk is a plus for anything - classic romantics, meanderers, runners, walkers, lolligaggers and family get togethers including photoshoots! I love this place so much that I can drive up here from LA and enjoy a lovely stroll at Moonstone Beach boardwalk. There are tons to see and... More

This is just across of our hotel and we walked on this place going to the beach. It was so romantic and it was wonderful to see some plants on the side some trees. Very relaxing.
