This is a beautiful beach just steps from a number of hotels. You get a very unspoiled beach, boardwalk and bluffs all easy walking distance from a number of inns on Moonstone Drive. One of the best places to spend the night either to start or end your big Sur drive.

Great boardwalk for a stroll along the coast. There is plenty of free parking along the road. Watch out for the squirrels, they are quiet friendly.

Every year we visit Moonstone Beach in Cambria where we rent a lovely & affordable two story home that sleeps eight & is dog friendly. We are right across the street from the boardwalk/ocean. We have enjoyed many walks along the boardwalk where people greet you & doggies can enjoy a moment of play. The boardwalk will take you to... More

20-30 minutes walking from Cambria you can reach this wonderful place enjoying one of the best views of my California tour. Along this drive it's very easy to find lovely squirrels.

About a 5-10 minute drive or 20-30 minute walk from the town of Cambria - it is a cove - maybe about a mile or so long - ocean on one side - and houses/hotels and 2 restaurants on the other - personally love the Sea Chest for dinner....lots of photo op's and mid afternoon/evening.prepare to see squirrels near/on the... Enjoy Dome beatiful hours at a really nice beach. Take the stets down to the beach and feel the cold water of the Pacific. It is a good place to forget business and spend nice dasy with your family.

So relaxing to have this wonderful board walk along the coast to take my morning walk and evening walk on. The view is spectacular and the walkway well taken care off. Toward the North End of the Board walk is a little "jut-off/overlook" which is perfect for our friends to set up our table and have a "sunset" cocktail party.

This small deviation from the highway allows you to take your time and soak in the scenery at a slower pace. It it filled with various beachfront Inns and a grill restaurant waiting for travelers to come on in and relax a little. You can also pull over and take a nice walk along the wooden path. Definitely a deviation... More
