We did the beach ride in Morro Bay this past weekend. What a fabulous ride!! I contacted Mick on Friday to see if he could fit us in on Saturday and he was so pleasant and helpful. What a great owner! Marie our trail guide was terrific! She was so informative and gave us all additional riding tips, especially for... More

We were visiting California with friends, and I was keen to go horse riding. We spent two weeks driving down highway one, and I looked up any places that might do rides near Cambria, as this was one of our stops. I found Outback trail rides on the internet, and it seemed to be a good place to experience the... More

I talked my husband in going on a horseback trail ride, even through neither one of us had rode a horse in over 35 years or more. We were both a little afraid at first. But after getting there and the owners telling us what we needed to do and not do, we relaxed and had a great time. I... More

We are horseback enthusiasts, have owned horses in the past, and still enjoy riding. Though we have ridden at many different places around the world, would have to say this is one of our favorites! We have ridden with Mick a few times and will continue to ride here every trip to Cambia! The staff is organized and friendly and... More

OBTR called 24 hours prior to our trail ride and cancelled because there were no available guides. We rebooked with a company in San Luis Obispo. They mentioned OBTR uses college students for guides and can at times run short of staff and cancel at the last minute. I requested a refund of my deposit when OBTR called and cancelled,... More

The staff at Outback Trail Rides were very friendly and took a lot of time to explain to us inexperienced folk how to properly ride a horse. It was my daughter's first time and my third so they gave us what they described as pretty calm horses. We rode with a pretty large party which they split up into two... More

Happened to see signs along the Highway in Cambria, called and left a message with my call being returned within a few hours. Took our family of 4 (kids 7 and 14) on the 3pm 1.5 hr ride, lucky for us the sky was clear and we only needed light jackets. The horses are very calm and easy to control,... More

Our family of 5 from the UK took a morning ride with these guys in May and had a great time. There were 2 in our party who had never ridden before and they took real good care of them and the horses were real sweet. Weather was a little misty so we missed the wonderful sea views but enjoyed... More

We called Outback Trail Rides late on a Friday night in hopes of scheduling a Saturday morning ride. Within minutes of leaving our message we were called back by Mick. Super courteous and friendly... and super understanding when our cell phone died and I called back the next morning instead of later that evening. :-) Great customer service. We met... More
