I was in Cambria on a spectacular sunny and warm day. The views of the Pacific Ocean from this delightful park area were amazing.

My wife and I were married there 20 years ago. A great place to picnic, relax, and enjoy the scenery.

Quiet and nice protected beach. Has a launch ramp for kayaks and small craft. Be careful of submerged rocks all around cove. Easy access to Piedras Blancas for diving (be careful of fog as it comes in quickly at different times of the year).

Always a great setting at the end of Moonstone beach drive. Clean bathrooms. Stairs down to the water. There is a boat ramp to lanch from. Tide pools when its low tide. There is an abundance of Picnic tables and Bbq's. I often grab a bite in town and come here to have my lunch.

Whenever my family and I stay in Cambria, we make it a point to view the sunset from Leffingwell Landing. The bluffs provide a great, unobstructed view of the sun setting over the ocean. There's plenty of parking as well as picnic tables and benches. We've never used the picnic area since we go there just to watch the sunsets... More

There is a great scenic hike just north of the pier that starts on the beach as the cove curves. It takes you to the tip of the headlands. To get there you pass through groves of eucalyptus and pine groves. There is a tunnel of trees to walk through. Views of Hearst Castle, a bird rookery, unbelievable views of... More

Leffingwell Landing is an outstanding picnic venue with unobstructed beach and ocean views. Lots of picnic tables, placed far apart for privacy. Places for kids to run around and beach access. The beach here is rocky and very scenic. Having lived in the area for over 20 years, Leffingwell Landing is my first seaside picnic choice. A warning, though: Summer... More

Leffingwell is a great spot to stop and have a picnic on the beach or at one of the tables nestled in the trees. It's a great spot for wildlife watching and if you want to feed the gulls. If you want something a little more out of the way, go up to the cove in San Simeon.

My family insisted on stopping at this beach based on a recommendation from a person working at an auto repair shop of all places. This bolts and grease person informed us that the texture of the stones at Moonstone Beach at Leffingwell Landing gently exfoliates your feet as you walk in the surf. We couldn't resist following up on this... More
