I was a little wary of having a public venue such as a park for my wedding site. But, this was a wonderful place for us. You have to get a permit through the State park. They will only issue 1 permit for this type of event for the day, the catch is, you can't put up something that says... More

We enjoyed the views of the Pacific Ocean while we were there in October. We have been here several times and like the peace and quiet in this area. Its one of a number of stunningly beautiful ocean views in California of the Pacific Ocean. it is also a good place to have a picnic.

A small park at the north end of Moonstone Beach Drive, where we stayed for a few wonderful days, provides a great viewing spot of the waves pounding on the rocks below, an occasional dolphin or whale swimming in the distance, searching for the lighthouse beacon at dusk and of course the sunsets. If mobility is a challenge for you,... More

Great place for a picnic. Sandwiches are available at Soto's Market, Sebastian's, or a new market/cafe just across the highway.

I enjoy sitting by the shore...looking for shells, watching the tourists, and listening to the crashing waves. The world is beautiful!

We always walk to Leffingwell Landing along the boardwalk from our hotel. It has a large grassy area with picnic tables right along the ocean. Nice sunset views
