I definitely enjoyed my visit to this winery on our Playtpus tour! The setting is great including the scenery on the mountainside as well as the buildings. The owner served us his wine personally, we got to meet the dogs many of the wines are labeled after, as well as taste wine out of the barrel. The owner is a... more

We are so happy we visited Graeser. The owner personally greeted us, and we also were able to talk to Rebecca, who is a sweetheart. He gave us a tour around the winery and we even tasted from the fermenting tanks. It was hard to leave because of the great hospitality and the dogs were awesome. Will be back on... more

Returned from Sonoma and Napa Valley last week. Visited many wineries. One of the highlights of our trip was a visit to Graeser Winery. Richard is a gracious host and we were able to tour the house and wine cellar as well as testing many fine wines. It is a winery that is off the beaten path and unpretentious. more

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to Graeser Winery. We did the hike and tasting with Desire'. She makes you feel like you are long time friends and is a joy to talk with. My wife and I don't know too much about wine and she didn't make us feel uncomfortable about that at all. We were able... more

We found the Graeser brochure at our hotel, were intrigued by the story, and decided to make Graeser our first stop one morning. We didn't know anything about the dogs but as soon as I parked & opened my door, a giant labrador head appeared in my lap. My wife, who spent a good deal of time at other wineries... more

This place is a little remote going through the forest. Once there we were greated by the dogs like many of the other reviewers. Once in the tasting room we met Richard Graser. Very nice person talking about how he got into the wine business. We also found that they made some very good wines. If you want to buy... more

Graeser Winery (David) is a true underdog winery in Napa Valley surrounded by the Goliath’s (Sterling, Robert Mondavi, Charles Krug, etc) of wines. Graeser Winery is not prominent or visible on the main drag through Napa Valley. In fact, its neighbor across the street, the Petrified Forest, undeservedly gets more recognition and visitors. For my wife and me, it was... more

Visiting Graeser Winery is a reminder why people started visiting wineries in the first place: beautiful setting, friendly staff and a chance to talk with the winemaker while sampling his wine. Definitely worth the visit. Both Richard the winemaker and Tony, a guest wine host that day, could not have been nicer. I particularly enjoyed the Zin. A tour of... more

My wife and I missed most of a Graeser wine tasting at our hotel, but we were so intrigued by the one we tried that we couldn't resist trying some more. Nestled against the side of a hill in the north of the valley, the vineyard is a lovely place to visit; but it's the red wines that captivate you.... more
