During our lunch in St Helena we decided to ask the Locals where we could find good Vineyards off the beaten paths. Nearly everyone insisted that we try the Frank Family Vineyards while they gave advice about the local Vineyards. When we arrived at the Frank Family Vineyard we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the place was. By the... More

Our experience here was positive overall. The environment is warm and our pourer was friendly though perhaps not as chatty as some I have encountered. I thought the fees were a bit steep for the pours that we got though we did get to try an off the list wine which was neat. Worth a stop if you are in... More

Our local wine merchant recommended this particular winery otherwise we might not have found it. I had no idea who Rich Frank was - I DO NOW! His passion and success in the film and television industry translated beautifully into the wine making business. If you have an extra $10, do the premium tasting - you won't regret it. The... More

We went and did a tasting here and it was fine, nothing great. We like Frank Family so I would say it is just a typical upscale tasting. The service was good and we enjoyed the wine but we like the more private smaller tastings. I would have no problem recommending it but I would never think it would be... More

If you've never been to a wine tasting in Napa before, you should start here. Warm, friendly environment. The atmosphere is a little dated, but the staff are exceptional. I am not so interested in television, but cable TV buffs would like some of the history here. Please do the higher end tasting, the reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford does not... More

We stopped by this winery on the recommendation of a host at Madrigal winery. We were thrilled! The friendliness and hospitality of ALL the staff was exceptional and we were delighted with the Chardonnay and the Rouge Sparkling Wine. The setting is beautiful...quiet, serene, and peaceful. It was the perfect place for us to enjoy a quiet picnic with delicious... More

Frank Family Vineyards came highly recommended to us when we were planning our trip to Napa, so perhaps the bar was set a little bit too high. While we really enjoyed the wines (and ordered a few to take home), we were the only 2 people in our tasting room and it was a relatively uneventful tasting. The gal who... More

We couldn't get in to another winery nearby so we went here. It was all right. The setting was quaint with lots of trees and flowers and a cottage-y type tasting area Nothing really stood out to me though. Nice but seems like our time could've been better spent somewhere else.

My husband had a great wine in a Calistoga restaurant one evening, and we found the winery to fisit: Frank Family Vineyards. They are a small, family-owned/run winery who have great ratings from the wine industry. In fact, they are so small that there's not a tour, there's not a restaurant, there's only the tasting and a nicely landscaped area... More

Not for the budget minded but the winery serves great wines. We sampled there reserve wines and bought a chardonnay and two Cabernet Sauvignons. The place is not big and splashy but the wines are fantastic ( all of them were). It was 30 per tasting and the winery was nearly empty when we came in because it was Easter... More
