We had an appointment at this winery, since I heard their wines were good. We did the classic tasting - probably should have done the premium - and was told to go to the bar. Four, young, pretty women were already there, and the pourer was a young guy himself. We're middle-aged - who do you think got more attention?... More

Great historical setting and even better wines! Our favorite winery since our first trip to Napa Valley in 2001!

We had not visted this winery in three years and our last experience had been a disaapointment because they had changed their tasting offerings. We went with the intention of just buying a case of chardonnay. When we arrived we noticed that they had changed they tasting menu. When we announced what we intended to buy they had ust taste... This is one of the wineries I always stop at. Their wines are excellent and priced well. They have remodeled the old house where the tasting room is and it has much more space and counters for tastings. The decor is nice, with lots of photos of the owner posing with celebrities. A bunch of picnic tables sit out front... More

The $50 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon was very good and compared very favorably with the pricey $80 plus cabs in Napa Valley. The $20 tasting fee for estate wines ($30 for reserve wines) was not refunded if you purchased wine. Our wine server was nice enough to let us taste the $85 2012 Rutherford Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon which was excellent, but... More

We went to Frank Family Vineyards with some friends that wanted to try the reserve tasting and enjoyed it more than we thought we would. Five wines were offered and we thought three stood out as very good. The Chard and Cab were good but didn't jump out at us. The Petite Sirah and Zin were very good and the... More

This was recommended by the owners of Zinfandel House B&B. It was a lovely winery, not too crowded and crazy. The tasting host was very friendly and helpful, and gave us a free taste of a special dessert wine since my mother loves them. I would not say this is my all-time favorite Napa experience, but there were no drawbacks... More

This was also at the top of our list for wine tasting! Monty assisted us with our wine tasting, and he couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. We had a great experience and ended up finding some delicious wines to take home! Add Frank Family Vineyards to your tasting list!

Great wines and a really personable tasting host (think his name was Gary). This was the best of the tastings we did (10 tastings/3 tours). What made this one better was that the host had Napa stories. Definitely not a get you in, get you out kind of tasting. While we were there, he had two other tasting groups that... More

For those who are interested in Marilyn Monroe, this is THE winery to go to in Napa Valley. The staff is friendly. For my personal tastes, its just an average winery in a valley full of excellent wineries. Of the Frank family wines, their reserve pinot is the one I enjoyed the most of the ones I tasted.
