prejudging people in napa is the wrong thing to do. Nobody wants to give you hard earned money for snotty attitude. Six well off ladies make an appointment at 2:30 at FF, they spent a lovely day at the Solage Hotel, then wine tasting and lunch. were well treated and pampered till... We had the reserve tasting. The pours were generous and the wines good. The staff were friendly and very knowledgable.

$20 tasting fee, $30 reserve tasting. Cannot apply any of it to a purchase. The pours were generous on my tasting, but for these prices, why not just go to a wine bar? I liked the Pinot best. Nice grounds, but not spectacular. They have picnic tables.

We stopped by the vineyard to inquire about a visit later in the week and ended up having one of the best experiences of our entire trip. Mike was very knowledgeable and a great story teller. We enjoyed and recommend everything here including the entire staff and the gardens.

We visited several wineries while in Napa. Frank Family is a good place to visit and had a good assortment of wines. A place not so well known is a small winery called Aonair which is a more relaxed winery -- no tasting fee there but a reservation required. Both were excellent

A little off the beaten track is this special winery that goes out of its way to cater to their clientele. In a renovated house, we enjoyed our tasting experience with an all around great staff. The wines here are outstanding as well as the mini museum of the founder-A Disney executive. This is a must visit as a contrast... More

We did not have a reservation, but were able to get in for a tasting. The "pour" was very skimpy and not worth the money. The wines were good, but the staff were not very pleasant. Based on the number of options you have I would encourage you to find another winery.

We paid for the premium wine tasting; the guide was very knowledgeable, but we were the only ones in the small tasting room, so it was a bit intimidating for us. We would have appreciated a bit of Cheese or crackers (or something) to cleanse the pallet between glasses. Frank is one of my favorite wines but didn't realize that... More

We recently dropped by Frank Family Vineyards for a tasting after seeing their small sign off the Silverado Trail on our way back from Calistoga. What a surprise! We have always loved Frank Family wines, and were pleasantly surprised to find several more sparkling and still wine varietals they produce, some only available at the winery. The winery itself is... We decided to explore a little further north than usual and selected this winery based on comments in Wine Country magazine. We were not disappointed as we were told a great deal about the family history as well as having the opportunity to try some different wines. The staff were all very pleasant and it was a very enjoyable experience... More
