We paid for the premium wine tasting; the guide was very knowledgeable, but we were the only ones in the small tasting room, so it was a bit intimidating for us. We would have appreciated a bit of Cheese or crackers (or something) to cleanse the pallet between glasses. Frank is one of my favorite wines but didn't realize that... More

We recently dropped by Frank Family Vineyards for a tasting after seeing their small sign off the Silverado Trail on our way back from Calistoga. What a surprise! We have always loved Frank Family wines, and were pleasantly surprised to find several more sparkling and still wine varietals they produce, some only available at the winery. The winery itself is... We decided to explore a little further north than usual and selected this winery based on comments in Wine Country magazine. We were not disappointed as we were told a great deal about the family history as well as having the opportunity to try some different wines. The staff were all very pleasant and it was a very enjoyable experience... More

Beautiful location for some terrific wines. I'm not sure why we didn't buy. They were great. The tasting room is a bit small, and we were crowded with a small group on one side, and a couple of chatty cathys on the other. One pourer, but generous pours which we were able to share efficiently. I'd have liked to hear... More

After stopping for fresh strawberries at the strawberry stand on Silverado Trail, continue north to Larkmead Lane and turn left (west). In the shadows of the massive stone winery and garden is the old farmhouse where visitors taste Frank families award winning wines. Ask for the lovely Zahava to be your tasting--hostess. Frank's silky reds ( Cab., Pinot, and Zin.)... More

Went on April 19th for winery tour. This was the first one in the AM and so we tried to premium tasting menu since it included sparkling wines but we got much more than we bargained for! Our server was Mike, great guy, very passionate and knowledgeable; educated us on the sparkling wine process and how at Frank's they paid... More

Now this walk in bar tasting was filled with knowledge, history of the wines, etc unlike another visit we had in Napa. Would recommend for those that like reds from this area.

This winery sits between highway 29 and Silverado trail so its not on a main road but well worth the stop. For a Napa winery the price is not over the top by any means but it is by far the most buttery Chardonnay I have ever tasted!!!

This was the first "vineyard" we visited on our trip to Napa. We then visited 5 other places over 3 days and every single one was FAR superior to this place. Here's what we didn't like: 1) It's not a vineyard or winery that we could see. Given the location (not in town) we assumed there would be actual vines... More

They were friendly and knowledgeable. We also liked that we could buy one one tasting and share it. Which was great since we were going to many wineries that day. They also had picnic tables which were a great place to eat lunch.
