Not for the budget minded but the winery serves great wines. We sampled there reserve wines and bought a chardonnay and two Cabernet Sauvignons. The place is not big and splashy but the wines are fantastic ( all of them were). It was 30 per tasting and the winery was nearly empty when we came in because it was Easter... More

A friend brought a bottle of Frank Family wine to our house for a taste before our trip to Napa. Great for us because our visit to Frank was a great experience. Marco was just great. He took the time to answer our questions and he served us some great wine. They even had some sparkling wine which was very... More

Very beautiful winery!! Walked in to friendly and attentive staff!! Wine and tastings were a little more expensive then others, but their specialty wines were very good!

Went to Frank Family with a large group of friends. We were lucky to get Marco as our server. He helped us last year. Hope the winery knows what a gem the have in him! He is both personable and very knowledgeable about the history of the winery and the great wines. One of our group was new to the... More

Had friends visiting from San Diego and Idaho who wanted to go wine tasting. There are sooo many wineries to choose from, so if you have to choose Frank Family should be one of your choices. Although we enjoyed the reserve chard their regular chard is simply silky and worth every penny. All the reds are tasty but the Winston... More

We've been to Frank Family Vineyards several times. We had a particulary enjoyable tasting with Monty Hayward last week. The chardonnays have always been a favorite of ours as well as the cabernets. One new surprise was the petite syrah--excellent. This is one winery we bring out- of -towners to since we know it'll be consistently good.

Three of us scheduled a "classic" (e.g. $20) tasting at the Frank Family Vineyards. Arriving early, we had to wait for the tasting, which is not that unusual. Waiting, however, we saw that the party ahead of us was given a reasonably leisurely and chatty tasting by the fellow behind the bar. When we were told that we could begin... More

This has been a favorite winery of ours for years. We arrived early on a Saturday morning. Things have changed since our last visit. You now need to check in and pay for your choice of tasting. One we got to our "bar" to taste, the employee (sorry I'm bad with names) was fantastic. He took a lot of time... More

Wonderful wines, quaint tasting room, staff wasn't initially very engaging, but overall a good experience.

No appointment needed -- contrary to a few years old Food and Wine article, there is a tasting fee ($15 and $20 based on the tasting you want). Still, very good for the valley! Wines are above average, especially the reds. Liked the merlot and Cab, but too pricey for us. Grounds looked pretty but there was no tour, which... More
