Charbono vs. bad interiors????

This tasting room really needs some work to make it more appealing visually. It's kind of cold and stark which did not help the rating I gave it. The fellow pouring was engaging... read more

this place is excellent. Great surroundings, a knowledgeable host and above all, great wines! The Charbono being the cream of the crop! come here, bring a picnic, get a bottle and sit in their beautiful gardens and watch Old Faithful go off in the background!

The Dornès and Hawkins have been club members here since ’08 and have always enjoyed their 2 bottle/shipment and the reasonable cost of the wines. Our tasting here was anything but spectacular so we adjourned to the back porch. Once again the wines were better than the taster leader’s tasting!

This tasting room really needs some work to make it more appealing visually. It's kind of cold and stark which did not help the rating I gave it. The fellow pouring was engaging and knowledgeable and his pours were tiny compared to the vineyard across the street called Envy. We did enjoy our time here though and did manage to... More

This was the third stop of four on a day long vineyard tour of Calistoga. Unlike most tasting rooms where you are staring at a wall behind the wine server, this is laid out with the bar perpendicular to a wall of windows; everywhere you stand you get a beautiful view of the mountains beyond the vineyard. Very open and... More

We went here with our Platypus tour group, and had a thoroughly enjoyable tasting in the attractive tasting room, then a picnic lunch out back on the rose bush laden garden. They had bocce to play.

This was a smaller winery that really want out of their way to make it an enjoyable experience for us. The grounds and views were beautiful and we sampled about 10 different wines. We even tried a new grape that we've never heard of called Charbono. Make sure u get their Zinfandel. Good visit

We happened upon Summers Winery one day while visiting Calistoga. The tasting room and patio are very welcoming and cozy comfortable. The staff are very friendly and informative about the wine. The wine is yummy! We spent time out on the patio while tasting and played some bocce ball. We will definitely be back. Make a reservation and enjoy.

Loved this vineyard, the staff was very knowledgable and friendly. We walked the vineyard with a very friendly staff member. It felt right and never rushed. The story was amusing and the wines were delicious especially their 2011 Cabernet

This is a great winery to visit. The people are extremely nice and very informative. We did the chocolate and wine pairing -- which I highly recommend. We loved the wine so much, we joined the wine club! Very reasonable, great wine. We will be back!
