I went to Lava Vines with friends. The property is gorgeous and has goats and other animals. The wine is amazing, my favorite was the petite Syrah. Just loved it.

Totally laid back experience-dogs welcome- where owners often serenade their customers while pouring their excellent wines. They only sell to club members and visitors so this is your chance to try a great find

My wife and I stopped here during our first trip to Napa and Sonoma Valley. First off, we are by no means wine experts. We enjoy wine, we enjoy travel and we feel that both should be enjoyed as a personal experience. That all said, this was one of our favorite stops while in the area. It was nice seeing... More

My wife and I spent two days (Jan. 21 and 22) in Napa Valley area. From my research on Trip Advisor, it was recommended to start the wine tasting in the northern part of Napa Valley and work our way south. We started at Bennett Lane at 10:30 or so and were the only people there. From there, we went... More

I am not in the habit of joining clubs. We put our name on the waiting list after a GREAT visit to the winery. They called/notified us about a year later that they had an opening. Were we interested. We had been so impressed by the winery we decided, "No harm none. Let's do it." The shipment has a wide... More

. . . . .without Burroughs and his pairing. But we still love the wine and the owners. They let us push down the grapes while they were fermenting this past visit. We're case red members and the port is to die for. Don't forget to pick up a bottle of their olive oil also.

We came here as a recommendation from our tour guide PF wine tours. We loved it here. Adam was awesome and was just like one of the guys. Super laid back and just all about the wine. The figs off the tree were just the right touch. Thx Adam!

We stopped at Lava Vines on the third day of our vacation based on the recommendations from several people at various wineries. It was absolutely the highlight of our trip. Lava vines creates small production hand crafted wines in Calistoga that are only available in their tasting room. Pete and John took excellent care of us. Upon discovering that we... More

Lava Vine was our third stop on our bike tour through Calistoga. The atmosphere was was welcoming and the staff was very personable and friendly. It's not a large scale winery so it was more intimate and laid back. We weren't too keen on the their wines but an overall great place to stop and taste.

Lava Vine was definitely worth the trip. So many of the wineries can feel stuffy and exclusive, but the staff here were friendly, funny and sarcastic. Plus, the wines were good and reasonably priced.
