The vast caves with freely stacked bottles were amazing. I could have stayed in there all day. The tour guide was very informative in a fun comedic way. He made the tour seem too short, the tastings were wonderful, worth the fee. I took more pics here than anywhere else on the trip.

What a fun and different experience in the Valley. We had no idea of the history here, the tour guide was excellent as is their bubbly! Definitely one to do!

We were lucky to happen by and get in on a tour that usually requires a reservation days in advance. It's a charming tour with lots of interesting history shared by an enthusiastic guide and who can beat tasting $200/bottle sparkling wine? Very enjoyable.

We very much enjoyed our tour and seated tasting at Schramsberg Vineyards. Schramsberg is home to the oldest hillside vineyards in Napa. It is 218 acres with about 25 per cent having grape vines. We enjoyed our tour of the historic caves. It was fun to see so many wines of their fine sparkkling wine; a wine that they are... More

Tour and tasting were as expected - only item to mention was that this tour is done in a significantly larger group than most (11-12 people instead of the standard 5 person max) - but the wine purchasing/ordering process left a bad taste in my mouth that has overpowered the Schramsburg sparkling-wine. The short-bald man behind the counter truly does... More

I’m not much of a champagne drinker other than a New Year’s Eve toast but after reading reviews we decided it would be an interesting tour. It was perfect. Before venturing into the caves they share a brief overview of the Schramsberg history along with a short tour of the grounds. .The cave tour was fascinating, interesting and educational. You’ll... Do not miss this vineyard! We took a tour through their champagne caves and learned all about the methode champagnois, which is how sparkling is made in the region of Champagne and what a painstaking process to make those bubbles so special and delicious. The next best thing to actually being in France. Try their Querencia if you have the... More

This was a little harder to find than some of the other Vineyards, BUT well worth it.. Learned SO much and the man made caves were overwhelming.. After we were escorted into a room lined with champagne glasses; the pouring began.. Needless to say I have joined this Vineyard and was so happy when I received my first shipment.. The... More

First I must preface that any place with historic landmark or on the registry appeals to me. The wine caves were built in the late 1800's; the history and photos of that time were artfully explained by our knowledgeable and personable tour guide. The current caves are extensive; the information furnished about how the wine is made and the techniques... More
