We came here at the suggestion of a friend for their sparkling wine and their historic caves. We were just a few minutes late for the tasting and they were just getting started. The information about the winery and history behind it was very interesting. The tasting was all standing, I was surprised by this because the tasting is very... More

Wine caves and bubbles!!! Make sure you have scheduled a tour as they are only a few times each day and fill up fast. The tour is very fun as you go into the wine caves and see how the bubbles are stored and made. The tour takes you through the wines and shows you how Schramsberg is unique and... More

This was our favorite tour on our recent visit to Napa. It costs more than the others, but high- quality bubbles are worth it! It is a little out of the way, but the private nature of Schramsberg is part of its appeal. Start your morning there (be sure to make advanced reservations - they fill up fast!) then head... More

Went here on the advice of a coworker and were blown away; the grounds are beautiful and the staff very friendly. We did the wine cave tour and tasting with our host Ilya - she was very engaging and friendly and certainly knew her stuff. The wine cave is amazing; very extensive dating all the way back to the 1800's,... More

BEST bubbles I've ever tasted in my life... and I've had my fair share. The tour of the caves is a MUST while in napa. Bring a sweater, as it's chilly down in the caves. There's so much history here and I learned about the sparkling wine making process which I thought I knew but there's so much more. GO!... More

This place is awesome. Their sparkling wine is top notch and their tour is fun and interesting. They take your through their wine caves and teach you all about their history. I was skeptical about paying $60 for a tour/tasting, but it was well worth it. Since they are a working vineyard with one road to get to it, they... More

We spent a month in Napa and visited over 40 wineries. Our visit to Schramsberg was among our favorites. This is the Grande Dame of American sparkling wine makers. The tour is incredible as you visit caves dug by hand and see how the "bubbles" are handled after bottling. I had no idea the amount of labor it took to... More

I was a little hesitant about visiting Schramsberg since I'm not a huge fan of sparkling wines. I was however pleasantly surprised. Not only are the wines excellent but the history going back to the 1800's was incredibly interesting. I loved the cave tour but be warned, if small dark places make you uncomfortable, you may want to sit this... More

Loved Schramsberg! It's a high-end winery (sparking wine of outstanding quality!) minus the pretentiousness. It also has an interesting history that begins in the 1800s. They only do a few tours a day with small groups of people, though, so make reservations as far in advance as possible. I called on a Monday for a Friday tour and they were... More

Upon arriving at Schramsberg I was very impressed with the grounds, including the flags hanging which include USA, California, and Mexico I found this to be neat and genuine. The Caves were beautiful, the information about the property during the tour was stellar. Rimple our host guided us through the cave tour and went over how they make sparkling wine.... More
