This was a unique tour/tasting that we had during our stay. We had the opportunity to watch one of their Sparkling wines walls being built in the cave! The tasting was excellent by candle light within the cave as well. We love the J Schram!

Be forewarned. If you don't make an appointment you don't get to taste. Due to the location at the end of a very windy long road, they don't offer tastings alone. The last tour was at 2pm and they were booked til monday, when we were leaving. Sad!! Still, we will be back to the area, and we will go... More

We had a great private tour down in their cave. It's the orginal cavern, which you can tell by the smell. I really enojoyed their cremant. The grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. Their tours are reserved or private so it doesn't have the atmosphere of tourist and tour buses like a lot of the other wineries do. Their wines... More

We absolutely loved the tour and tasting at Schramsberg. Our tour guide was entertaining and knowledgeable, giving us loads of great information. The property and story behind Schramsberg is interesting and unique. The tasting was generous and we didn't feel rushed through the experience at all. (We were the last tour of the day which may have played into it.)... More

I visited Schramsberg for the first time two years ago (2013) and it was only my second time at a sparkling house. We enjoyed Schramsberg so much we decided to ante up for a return visit with a friend and introduce her to California Sparkling wine, made in the Champagne style of course. We had a different tour guide and... More

For all of you that have been to Chandon, Mumm, and Domaine Carneros, put Schramsberg on your list. The bubbles are the best in the Valley and the tour is unbelievable. Be sure to make a reservation before coming and they do book up fast!

I have been all around wine country and have had my share of tours, but this one was outstanding! The candelabra tasting in the caves was beautiful. Very knowledgeable guide. The wine was very good. The are known for their sparkling wines, but we also tested the best cab I had all weekend. The only wine club I have joined... More

Really cool place to tour. Great history. Very nice people. The wine was not to our liking though. The low end sparkling was OK, but the higher price point was not what I expected.

We had an awesome tour guide who fed us information, stories, legends and wine. There were 12 in our group, and we had a blast. Go for the morning tour, but make sure you have a driver. They aren't shy with the tasting!

On this tour I learned quite a bit about Napa and Shramsberg History. The facility and tasting room was simple and beautiful. We walked for a while in the caves and learned about cave lichen as well as the sparkling wine and the riddling process. Our tour and tasting guide was friendly, knowledgeable and energetic. The tasting was enjoyable and... More
