After some of the reviews and photos, I was prepared for a bit of aging kitsch, but Golden Haven seems to be the only immersion mud opportunity in town and I wanted that. It is at the back of an old-style motor motel, but inside the spa area feels up to date, very clean ~aside from the actual tubs of... More

I was a little skeptical about having a mud bath because I am somewhat claustrophobic and very sensitive to heat on my skin. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed my mud bath and wonderful it felt to all my joints. The attendant was very attentive and explained every step of the process and was respectful in giving us... More

Enjoyed a couples mud bath at Golden Haven Hot Springs Spa. The sensation of sinking into warm mud, and floating in the therapeutic mud was delightful and ever so relaxing. The temperature of the mud made getting out difficult. We look forward to our next trip West to enjoy another mud bath.

My wife and I got a couples' mud bath when we were in the area for our wedding anniversary. We didn't know quite what to expect, but we really enjoyed it. The facility was clean and comfortable, less fancy than some spas I've been to, but not at all run-down. We swan in the pool and hot tub while we... More

My husband & I wanted a couples spa so we chose Golden Haven for a mud bath. This is not a modern up-to-date spa, but a nostalgic hotel & spa that is well taken care of. It is very clean & the staff is professional & respectful of your privacy. It does not have the heavy sulfur "rotten egg" smell... More

We did a mud bath, blanket wrap with a half hour massage and mini facial. All treatments were excellent. Cant wait for the return trip next. Worth a visit. The mud bath is the most relaxing experience we have had.

Was a little apprehensive to do the mud bath thing, but it was great. So you go in this room with 2 adjacent vats of mud, it's best to go in naked - you roll yourself over the edge and plop in. You don't sink! You stay in for 12 or so minutes, then you roll out, hose yourself off,... More

I took my wife here for her birthday and a little relaxation after a busy week at work. We did the mud bath and massage. Both were great. We both felt very different when we were done. Very relaxed and less stressed. I highly recommend doing both.

My friend and I were on a day trip through Napa on Labor Day Weekend and were looking for a place to enjoy a mineral pool. This was the only place with a day pass we could find on a weekend. With a scheduled 1/2 hour massage we had use of the mineral pool and hot tubs. The massage was... More

My husband and I found a groupon for a couple's mud bath at Golden Haven (which was just around the corner from our hotel) and figured since we were in Calistoga we might as well try it out. It was hysterical. If you haven't done this, do it just to be able to tell people about it. Since you do... More
