MUD BATHS are THE BEST

Floating in Mud is delightful and "the thing to do" in Calistoga. The mud bath facilities are open to the public, no need to be a hotel guest. We did a couples package, so it was... read more

As part of a couples get away we did a couple spa day including the mud baths, jacuzzi, blanket wrap, massage, and facials. It was a great day of relaxation and reconnecting. To us the mud bath was interesting, not something we'd seek out all the time but it was fun and we can definitely see why some people would... More

This was our third visit in the last ten years. Previously, we stayed in the a Jacuzzi room and loved it. This time our room had a dry sauna. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to use it. We stayed three days which included couples mud baths, Jacuzzi, and the neck, back, and shoulder massage. I went back for the... More

Someone called Golden Haven Waffle House crossed with a spa. Perfect description. Though some rooms are nicer than others, our room was dark and smelled of perfume (NOT of the sulfur springs). All pools are indoors We LOVED the free use of bicycles which are one-speed beach cruisers. The massages were fair; not particularly good and ours started late. The... More

I chose this spa because they offered mud baths and Wow was this the place. When you first enter you are greeted and told about your treatment choice. I then went into the mud bath area and was instructed how to enter and given time to relax. When I stepped into the mud bath it was like floating on a... More

Floating in Mud is delightful and "the thing to do" in Calistoga. The mud bath facilities are open to the public, no need to be a hotel guest. We did a couples package, so it was only 2 of us in a large "L" shaped mud bath, the attendant guides you through each step of the process, providing instructions and... More

I know a lot of people really love the mud. I don't mind it really, I just hate that it gets everywhere and you need a hose to get it out of all your places. They have two mud tubs in a treatment room, with a hot pool full of the mineral spring water that smells like sulphur. It is... More

My husband has never been to a spa, and he liked our couples mud bath, but it turned out to be not as great for me. You had to have some strength to get in and out without frying your feet, and I wasn't able to do that. Our mattress was also uncomfortable for me, but the biggest detraction was... More

We went for the mud bath, got a good after hour special for two. The place seemed a little dated, but the staff was very friendly and nice. We have never had a mud bath before, so we had a lot of laughs and the smell was, shall i say coming from a farm, brought back memories. I enjoyed it... More

We got the couples 2 for 1 Late afternoon special. It was an experience, fun and we left very relaxed and our skin felt amazing. We have been to many spas this is basic, no frills, but well worth the money. We also had massages and our therapist were very good. It was a great change from all the wine... More
